Things that worry me later in life number 678: Is cherry flooring still flooring, when used as a workbench top?

Is it still a bench if I stand on it? If no then it is still flooring, if yes then I’m really confused.

Solid core door slab worked very well for me - Pictures somewhere hereabouts in one of the other bench threads. Whitewashed and bracketed in clear cedar, and the whole was poly'd.
Mounted on a funny steel cart base that was formerly of a very large industrial grade rear projection TV. Casters, doors, 19" rack mount 4U or 6U tall.

Here’s an update, added the cherry top, this weekend I will drill the plugs to fill the screw holes, then sand it down and wipe with a protectant.

I'll be doing an upgrade sometime very soon - Replacing the white Ikea small bookshelf desk topper with a cherry executive desk bookshelf topper with lighting and a thumbtack board.
I'll post pics of course.
My original logic was that the small bookshelf would leave both ends open for presses and such, making my roll-away bench both an armorers and reloading bench... The bookshelf is too small for practical use, so I'm upgrading.

Right there with you but I up graded a little hinged a 4' 2x8 onto the knee wall in basement ....think foldaway ironing board
