looking for everyone’s opinion, I’ve been buying ammo from TS for years. Last year I never renewed my + subscription. I’m looking to sign back up for the discount/free shipping. I have a feeling they will continue to ship after 8/1. But say they don’t you guys think they would refund me the 99$? Considering today’s only 2 days until 8/1 haha. Or should I just not be impatient and wait until 8/2 to sign up to make sure they are still shipping. Thanks. In advance for the opinions

Why don't you email them and ask what their policy would be in that case?

I don’t think they’ll refund the $99 - this legislation didn’t come out of the blue.

I let mine expire because this is going to be tied up in courts for a while. I placed and order about 2 weeks ago and got the ammo in a few days, before all the delays started. For the cost of shipping it was okay.

Simple solution is to place an order large enough that your save at least $99 and recoup your membership costs.
Not too hard really, especially if buying less than case quantity (which are subject to shipping costs w/o ammo+)
 
All I can say to people stocking up now is, you're really late to the party.

Having got caught with my pants down in 2020, knowing 2024 was an election year and having know about the potential MA law for basically a year I started preparing as soon as Ammo was becoming available, post Covid, and prices started dropping. Sure, I paid higher prices from some of my earliest purchases after Covid but I don't care. I will have plenty of freedom seeds and some of the people late to the party won't.

Someone posted in this thread an email from TS saying they are gonna keep shipping. Nothing is guaranteed for what happens throughout the year but as of now that’s their intent.

Or just order enough ammo to save $99 and consider the rest gravy.

Not counting shipping that's a $1240 order. Fun way to get the cost of membership back in one go. 😍

This time around the issue is local enough it doesn't seem to be affecting ammo prices or supply too much. Rifles are a different story. Locally at least

I thought I read somewhere someone said TUSA might be affected with the new bill but nvm. I’ll disregard what I read haha TUSA still goated for ordering food

I was at Gun Parlor yesterday (recently found out about their history with TUSA) and overheard a worker and customer discussing it. They mentioned that part of the bill includes no shipping of ammo? Again almost literally hearsay.

Ordered 2 buckets of 22LR ammo yesterday and got a shipping notification so seems ok as of now, but who knows Aug 1st

Yea, oh well haha It is what it is.

One thing I like is they use UPS. I have all my UPS packages intercepted to be picked up at a local UPS store rather than having it shipped directly to my home.
