Target Sports Delivering Again - Megathread

I ordered on ammo day at 11 am. Just got the shipping notification saying it will be here tomorrow. They must have been pretty backed up
I ordered and have received email stating being processed , still no shipping date , so I emailed them just to be sure it wasn't something on my end causing the delay. They emailed back and said they were bombed with orders and are processing as fast as possible.

They are probably short staffed like all businesses are. They are a top notch retailer and after dealing with them for over 6 years now I am more than pleased. One case of accutips with a damaged projo replaced in 2020 and this last instance of the wrong case of 9mm delivered early this week in over 6 years. The new case was just delivered today. Can’t beat that service.

Years of dealing with them and pretty much the same thing. One shipment came up short one box of ammo this year, they asked a few questions, asked for pics of the overall package shipping weight, and made it good within a day or so.

Great customer service. As a side note, Tire Rack is also outstanding.

Anyone else thinking of putting in a big order today before the Preamble gets signed tomorrow? You know, just in case.
Not me.

However, I would recommend people order primers from other sites that might stop shipping ... and before we get closer to the election.

Powders can be found, can even drive out of State. But primers are a b*tch, and everyone local that gets some primers seems to want COVID days prices.

On the subject of primers , what does the NES club find as a good # of primers to be on hand? Obviously the more we all have the better , but what # would make you feel at least comfortable?

I stated that I know that , but an actual number is what I am looking for.
MORE.

There isn't a good answer. It all depends what you shoot and how often you shoot.

If you are shooting 9MM PCC and your goal is to become grandmaster at Steel Challenge, you will probably be shooting over 10K rounds per year.

If you shoot F class and don't give a sh*t about anything else, you might be fine for well over a year with 3-5K primers.

So just maybe multiply what you expect to reload next year by 2 or 3 and start there.

So, if you follow all laws.... and trust me, I don't throw shade regardless of your answer, there are limits for how many primers you can have inside a home. You can get higher quantities with a permit, last I heard they are $10/2 years.

someone else can weigh in on exact numbers, but I believe it is on goal's website

Edit: link is broken, but I believe it's 1k with no permit, and can go as high as 10k with one. YMMV

Edit 2 : Broc corrected me, 9999 is max with no permit.

I only have a 100 on hand 🤣

If I was still actively reloading I would want a minimum of 2 x 5k sleeves of each kind you
use. And thatd be a starting point. 3 would be better in case you have to surf over a longer suppply disruption.

No.

9999 without a permit.
More than that if you want to involve the government in your life, or if you don't care.

FYI ... primers and even smokeless powder are the least of your concerns during a fire. Primers just pop and powder does a quick flash burn. YouTube has videos of firemen burning over 30lbs of smokeless powder. It all burns in less than a minute and doesn't damage dry wall near by.

Besides, I believe the limit is for loose primers. What if you get 15K and quickly prime 5K?
