Has anyone used the archery range recently? I want to site in my bow but have never seen anyone near the archery range.
Heading over to shoot trap for the first time at Taunton, and have only shot one round total...I've only shot trap once before, so if you see a big dude with a shitty O/U missing a lot of clays, feel free to give pointers!
Is it possibly to stop by and visit the range to check out the facilities? I've been thinking of applying, but would like to see everything first. I wasn't sure if I could just show up or would need to make an appointment or something.
Does anyone know how long orientation is for TR&P. Besides rules & regulations, & a tour of the facility what else is covered?
not much that i can recall... its pretty laid back just common sense stuff and a tour. the part i remember best was the first aid kit its not for oh my god i just shot myself its only for boo boos folks! lol
This sounds like a club im definetly goin to check out from what u guys have said it sounds great
its a blast, two great indoor ranges and some pretty nice outdoor ones.
They finish the second one? I haven't been to indoor in awhile.
Last I was told it would only be used for matches or something to that effect... But yes it's done...
So if I understand correctly, the club has well over 2000 members, none of which can use the 2nd, newer, updated, range ... I presume the funds for building the range came from the members? Doesn't sound right to me.

Can anyone go there or do you need to be a member befor using the range?
The new range is completed. The preference is to primarily use the "old" range as the backstop on the new range has a rubber wall style trap that requires a lot more maintenance than the water trap on the other range. If the old range is being used for a match or practice by one of the shooting teams, the new range will be available for use by members. This will decrease the maintenance costs while providing flexibility.
