The Conference Committee has sent official language out - h.4885

There are plenty of smaller shops (not to mention individuals) around the country who dgaf about this stuff and have no problem taking our business and shipping into MA.
But how are they going to be able to comply w/ the safe storage regulations in the ups or fed ex trucks?! /s

Here is a novel idea. Instead of writing a 116 page new gun control legislation in an attempt to pander to their woke supporters......how about enforcing the gun laws that are already on the books......you know.......against the criminals??

Nah....that is too radical an idea even for this Democratic Socialist Republic to even consider.

Man there are at least 1 or 2 ways a desperate MA resident could still get their hands on ASW after Aug 1 from out of state. Just have to be willing to go to the dark side ... In Minecraft obviously lolol
That would be against federal law.
But if you happened to have in your possession a "ghost gun" you personally manufactured in Massachusetts prior to 8/1, it would be legal to possess as long as you serialize and register once those systems come online (assuming @CrackPot's interpretation of the 7/16 date is correct).

So if it was a really big locking box truck and it had a smaller locking box truck inside the box of the bigger box truck it's fine per MA.
A broken down UPS truck loaded onto a roll back wrecker In Speculator ...

Can't wait to see the new (REQUIRED BY MA LAW!) Massachusetts Gun Laws poster.

Should we demand the Statehouse Bookstore print it IMMEDIATELY?

Chapter 135 (H.4885) Court Actions and Other Activities

Jim Wallace – Executive Director of GOAL

TAKE IT BACK

We must all work together and coordinate our efforts against this historic attack on our civil rights.

First, let me express my deepest thanks to everyone who has been in the fight to stop Chapter 135 (H.4885) from happening. You all did the best anyone could have done, especially given that only a small number of gun owners were willing to join your efforts.

Now we find ourselves with no other option than to file for relief, and the restoration of our civil rights, in federal court. There is no hope for any help within the Massachusetts court system, Governor Baker saw to that with his judicial appointments. Regardless of what many thought, we had to wait for it to become law before we could file any action.

Now as we enter the litigation phase, we must all work together.
Because this law is so massive, no court will take it on all at once. The law will have to be broken down in chunks by specific subject matter. This will result in several different cases being filed. The court action GOAL filed in federal court is about licensing and training and is only the first salvo in what is to come.

GOAL has been working for months, behind the scenes, with several organizations around the country to share the workload. Some have already agreed to take a different piece and will be filing their actions soon. We are still working with others in hopes they will agree to take a piece as well.

I am asking anyone who may take other court actions, or even other things like rallies, to coordinate through the GOAL office. It is not because I want to take credit or raise more money I just want to win our freedom back and I don’t care who gets the accolades.

The simple fact is that this effort against Chapter 135 will call for serious management of all types of resources. Because this bill is so huge, there are simply not enough resources that would justify the duplication of tasks.

While I would never pretend to be in position to tell others what they have to do, I am “asking” everyone to filter any efforts through GOAL. That will prevent the waste of resources. If someone, or a group, wants to take something on please let us know. If that piece has already been approached, we can ask you to take another avenue. There is plenty to go around!

Again, thank you to everyone who is in this historic fight. I have no doubt that we will be victorious, but like other historic battles in our great history, it will not happen tomorrow.

Just got this:

Good Evening,

The Department understands the need to provide access to Basic Firearm Safety courses to citizens of the Commonwealth seeking to obtain a license to carry a firearm. We are working with the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security (EOPSS) to clarify the statutory interpretation of the new firearms law. Regarding the basic safety firearms courses, and concerns related to the opportunity to obtain a License to Carry before the effective date of the law, individuals will not be required to take the new course called for under the law, including the live-fire requirement, until the law goes into effect. Please be advised that you are free to offer Basic Firearms Safety courses in their current format.

Please note, the Department will be sharing additional guidance as it becomes available.

Sincerely,

Kristin

Looks like they are doing a little back-pedaling now.😂

There we go.

It's the obvious move for them. Credit to the filed lawsuits, and to some pragmatic statie official being honest enough to admit they were licked.

Still... let's not forget what they tried to do. F**king JBT scumbags.

What a flustercuck. Nobody knows what they actually passed or what it means practically. I think NES probably has a better understanding than EOPSS at this point. Perhaps they should hire some of the experts here for consulting.

Of course we have a better understanding. Every word of it is unconstitutional. Every word of it is against my natural rights.

f*** all commies.

They're not hiring shit. They read these posts as avidly as we do. We're giving them free advice.

But I don't mind when that advice is designed to keep them on the right side of the Constitution. Thing is... they shouldn't need our advice for that. Too bad we live in a world where our overlords law-enforcement officials want to stomp on our rights make us jump through hoops, but that's the world we live in.
