Baby deer have little to no scent, it’s no surprise your pups walked right by the fawn. Not a trail cam - walking the dogs on my land
They walked on past - "them dogs don't hunt"
Any photos of the cabin?First night at the new cabin in Maine. One of my Spypoint cams up there has yet to connect.

OPSEC, man. It's an ICF structure. Not as remote as I'd like, since UPS and FedEx both can find the place.Any photos of the cabin?
I’m in the same boat, same state
I swear no 2 Spypoints are alike, having issues as well, and came on here to see what everyone is running. I've been having similar issues with my Tacticams as wellFirst night at the new cabin in Maine. One of my Spypoint cams up there has yet to connect.

How do you like the Moultrie?
I’ve had it in the field for almost a year now. Reception is awful and I can’t get a good south facing placement for the solar panel. How ya liking the Spartan?
Thanks for the info!I’ve had it in the field for almost a year now. Reception is awful and I can’t get a good south facing placement for the solar panel.
That said, I’ve never changed the batteries, and never unable to connect to it real time. The plans are a bit pricey and the unit itself was around $400+, but I see they are less expensive now.
I’d buy again simply for the fact I don’t have the luxury of being 20 minutes down the road from where it’s set up to troubleshoot it when it goes down
it's a friends camera.. seems to work well for him..How do you like the Moultrie?
I'll be checking that camera later this week. Of the five Micro-LTE cameras I have, one has experienced water intrusion. It seems like the door wasn't tightly closed, more than a component failure. The latest firmware has cut back on the false triggers without reducing the sensitivity to small critters. I'm using them for monitoring activity rather than identifying particular targets. And batteries have been good for at least 6 months, with some lasting nearly a year out there. For the price, I'm happy with them. And getting the 100 thumbnails per month at no cost, is bonus.I swear no 2 Spypoints are alike, having issues as well, and came on here to see what everyone is running. I appreciate your input! Good luch this yearI have four of them. All work fine.
I have a couple of the cheaper Manifest models that I keep out on public land. They take fine pictures and seem to last long time on one set of batteries. I thnk they end up being under $50 each so I'm worried about them walking off. They only do pictures, no video or sound.
Also have a coupe of the Morph models on the land behind my house which also work fine. They take better pictures and also do video.
Each camera is only $5/Month and it's good for 600 pics/month. I've never gone over, not sure happens if I do.
The phone app is easy to use.
I'll buy more of the Muddy brand before anything else.
Same here, just tossed 1 in the trash, 1 still in use for now.I have a Tacticam and it has been nothing but trouble even with a 100% Verizon cel signal.
After a bunch of time on the phone with them it still only takes pictures sporadically, never sends them, and eats batteries. Yesterday afternoon it had 70% battery and this morning I got a low battery text. Junk
icf, not what I had in mind when I heard cabin. How did the permitting process go? Hope you have a great time out there!OPSEC, man. It's an ICF structure. Not as remote as I'd like, since UPS and FedEx both can find the place.
The builder took care of that. 8" of foam covered concrete below grade, 6" to the rafters, I'm hoping I can heat the place with a birthday candle.icf, not what I had in mind when I heard cabin. How did the permitting process go? Hope you have a great time out there!
Just checked the new Spypoint Micro-LTE camera that failed to check in. Everything appeared to be normal but it wasn't active. I cycled the power switch, and the camera sent a pic immediately.I'll be checking that camera later this week.
