Anyone got a suggestion for a spider deterrent? I placed a couple of cameras in a new area, and they got wrapped in webs shortly after.

I would probably pick up a can of spray permethrin and spray the tree where the camera is mounted. Not the camera. It has an odor but it will fade fairly quickly.

These past few years, I've seen much fewer of them. The mild drought here might have something to do with that. It's still very dry in the woods where I'd often see more moose than deer while hunting. So maybe the numbers are up enough to cause them to range into less than ideal terrain? The only place I'd seen them recently was at lower elevations where there's more water.

I figure it will be right after Connecticut does a bear season./s

IIRC the legislature needs to remove the law prohibiting hunting moose so probably never.

Yeah, maybe getting its coat on a little early this year. Cams have picked up a lot of fox activity this autumn already, but only one 'yote so far. Typical for the season for us.
