The out of focus cam picks up some recent activity. I was out there yesterday and saw one squirrel. Zero tracks to be found.

Not a trail cam, just security cams picking up some activity this morning.

Same fox making his way across the yard.

All the other prints in the snow are from the dog.

I put out about 40lbs of a mix of wild birdseed, corn/oat mix, black oil sunflower seeds and regular shell corn and had a crowd there in short order.

Will post some pictures tomorrow, I didn't want to disturb the feeding frenzy.

They don’t really hibernate here. They go in and out depending on temp and food availability. It’s called torpor IIRC

Last evening's feed. There were three more bucks and a doe out of the camera's view up the driveway to the right, standing guard.



A couple of hawks (one upper center edge) the other right there near the ground, who had been sitting on the power line, swooping in for a meal. The birds scatter like an explosion.



Here's another picture of a hawk coming in for a meal. I suspect that dove on the ground was snatched up.

I've noticed the fawns here will stick around with their mother (although not suckling) and a sibling if a twin, for a couple of years.

A couple of paired up foxes. It'd be nice if they'd get their business over with and stop the screeching. The pups go nuts when they hear it.

Backyard camera again. There's a bird feeder about 12 feet up. It gets a lot of visitors year round.
