Doesn't matter if it's an AR, AK, lever gun, bolt action rifle, etc.

How you going to cash checks after the shtf? This.
I'll be snapping necks, cashing checks, and beating feet to some other AO while the OP is still changing like three kinds of batteries.
But? OP, if it's what you train with and feel comfortable taking to war? Go with your bad self.
Same way they did in Weimar Germany, unfortunately. How you going to cash checks after the shtf?
I'll happy with my 10/22. It'll get the job done.
And an all terrain bicycle for getting around.
i have 2 sets of those in the parts box. would prefer that 100% to any red dot.For the money I think I'd rather a nice flashlight and a handheld thermal than a thermal scope. What do you do if you have to shoot in the daytime? And no sling?
you can hunt some squirrels with it, yes.22lr rifle being the best option for mobile use.
If defending the home is no longer an option (or I run out of .223/556), then I think I'm with you on a 22lr rifle being the best option for mobile use. Could easily carry 1,000+ rounds without it being a hinderance. I'd personally want an etched scope for SHTF, or just use irons.
A 22lr with a physically marked/etched BDC scope (so you can reach out to 100 yards effectively unless its windy) and back-up irons isn't a bad plan.If defending the home is no longer an option (or I run out of .223/556), then I think I'm with you on a 22lr rifle being the best option for mobile use. uh..... feel free to correct me, but my understanding of thermals.... is they do not care what time of day it is.
By far the best SHTF rifle I own, and I own more than two or three.
Finally, this thread has potential.Red dot didn't have enough magnification for OP so he added the 1.5x
