What did you do in the reloading room recently?

Ooo I like that. One of my Dillon is mounted on a strong mount and loading light charges into a 38 special is hard to keep an eye on. I should mod the press with a camera. Or grow taller.

No love for cast in the rifle?
It's a cheap Amazon microscope mounted to the press in an open hole. It's wifi to a computer or cell phone by app.
Found a video on YouTube ( of course).
I'm having difficulty getting the rhythm starting out using the progressive. Hoping this helps.

Any of you guys have experience with the new SuperTrickler?

Edit: Sorry, didn't mean to be cryptic. I'm wondering if anyone else is getting the kind of results I'm seeing. Just set mine up on Friday and programmed for H4831SC. Loading 53.5gr for 7 Shehane rounds. Worked with the AI for about 3 hours yesterday, during which the "success" rate (accurate throws) gradually increased to greater than 90%. This morning, it dropped 50 charges with only one overthrow, and the longest time for a throw was 9 seconds. I'm estimating the average time for a throw was somewhere between 5 and 7 seconds. Half a dozen throws took less than 4 seconds.

Is this just crazy good by chance? Is it just this powder? Again, just wondering if anyone else has experience with this powder dispenser?

A very good friend’s dad passed away last week. His parents are basically like second parents to me and him and his brother are like brothers to me.

His dad was a big reloader and huge in to cowboy action sports. His reloading room was packed with stuff. Him and his brother both shoot but don’t reload… so I think I may be getting a bunch of supplies.

NES is the best place to do that.

I loaded 100 test loads of 357M using Enforcer, W527, 158gr Zero JHPs, and 125gr Zero JHPs. Chrono'd yesterday with my 7" Navy Arms 1873. These were all about at 1.570" COAL, if memory serves.

I'm not too keen on the slow 158gr W572 combination, despite the decent standard deviations, nor am I enthusiastic about full-house 125gr loads because they are thought to be tough on forcing cones. I could shoot these in my rifles, but I don't expect those bullets to be all that accurate at the higher velocities coming out of the rifle. I might try it, anyway, but for now my takeaway was to load the 158gr JHPs over 13.5gr Enforcer and 125gr JHPs over 8.5gr of W572.

Also loaded up my last 100x 240gr Zero JSPs last night.

Been a while. A few hundred 9mm done. Separated a bunch of indoor range brass. Ended up with a little over 1000 cases of .380 and ~850 cases of .40. I don’t, and likely won’t load or shoot either, so I will probably put them up as karmas when I finish sorting the bucket.

Today I got to try out the .30-06 rounds I recently reloaded. Cases are reworked surplus HXP with a light load of IMR4895 and a 150 gr FMJBT bullet.

Good news is they all went bang, and went in the general direction I aimed! Every time I shoot this thing I'm reminded how well this rifle works when compared to other service rifles of the era. And before anyone asks, my thumbs are just fine!

wanted to load Hornady ELD X in 308 on the 550 for the first time, and marred several bullets before understanding I needed a different seating stem. So I ordered a few seating stems to fit the Hornady micro adjusting die.

I also picked up some used caliber conversion kits at a good price ($30 ea) in .38/ 357 and .44 mag so I can feed the wheel guns. They have been feeling neglected for a while.

Loaded up a couple hundred 9mm for a local match tomorrow. Standard recipe, checked them all in the gauge, tossed them into a partially filled ammo box that already had a couple hundred rounds in it. Tossed in some moisture absorbers and mixed them in.

Took out a handful to pre-load my mags - and that's when the fun began. Flakes of powder. WTF?

Went through entire box, 400+ rounds. And at the bottom found the round that the primer had fallen out of...

Primed 700 9mm cases with an RCBS bench primer over two nights. Sized and wet tumbled 500 9mm + 250 .380. Ordered 2K 124 gr truncated flat point FMJ .355 bullets from Rocky Mountain Reloading. Shipped and delivered in less than a week! Have Hornady AP dialed in for 9mm with this bullet, so going to crank out a bunch this coming week - 4.3 gr W231, Tula SPP, 124 gr RMR TFP FMJ @1.097 COL. All my 9mm’s eat them up. No hiccups.

Have enough 556 factory ammo + reloads for the foreseeable future - short of an insurrection or civil war. So, am going to work up some loads for 357 mag and 9mm with Winchester SRP. Have almost 5K excess SRP. Will shoot the 357 mag out of a 1894 Marlin and the 9mm out of a Ruger PCC, so think both firearms will reliably be able to ignite the SRP’s. Anyone have thoughts, comments, suggestions?

I've only loaded for 6" revolver, but you're welcome to my 357 reloading log for ideas. I'm kind of partial to Alliant 2400 and 158 grain Zero bullets, but I mostly just bang away at steel at 100 yards. I'm not shooting any kind of competitions or hunting.

I did learn that Ramshot Enforcer is really sensitive to which primer is used, so heads up.

You should be fine with either in your rifles.
Load a couple primers into empty brass and see if they light off. Easy test before you go loading range fodder that you can’t shoot.

@p..
Thank you for the data - my favorite 357mag load is with 11.5 gr of 2400 with a 158 gr Zero bullet.

@38ExtraSpecial
Had not thought about testing just the primers. Saves having to take apart a small batch of test loads!
Make sure you size the brass as you normally would before testing.

Loaded up 150 45acp

Been away from the bench for about a month. Running low on Blackstock in 45acp 357 and 44mag.

Researched progressives......the rcbs pro 2000 is looking like it may be on my bench in the future. 400 to 500 rounds an hour is way better than my 100 an hour on the turret lol

Quick 50 bowling pin loads. Thay was Friday night. Loaded up my primer tube at the press......got the dies and dispenser all set up......went to run my first load thru......couldn't get a fresh primer to fall into the primer cup.....cycled the primer cup back and forth like 30 times and nothing......sat there for a second trying to think what could be wrong......cycled it again amd when I pulled the cup under the tube it felt "soft" pressure then it got stuck.....da fuq? Pushed it out and the remains of a slaughtered spider came out with the primer cup. 😂😂😂😂😂

Must have dumped 100 fresh primers down on his ass when I Loaded the tube.

50 more 44 mag 240 grain cast with 9 grains titegroup.

Set up my primer tube with 100 large magnum primers to get ready to run a batch of 240 grain jsp with some h110 powder. Got hungry.....said that's enough for today.......gonna make a couple tomatoe sandwiches with the ones I grabbed from the garden today.

The load data for that is 2 slices lightly toasted rye bread.....a healthy dose of dukes mayo.......fresh ground black pepper. 2 slices of fresh garden tomato. This is the ONLY way to make a garden tomato sandwich.....prove me wrong.
