What did you do to your firearm today.

Cleaned my wife's PK380 inside and out and tested it. Jammed nonstop and it turned out to be misized Winchester ammo. ****ing Winchester, that's happened to me only with their white box stuff.

I don't post much but I'll play. I received my Talon grips and Blackdog Concealment holster for my recently acquired M&Pc. This will soon be replacing my boat anchor USPc that I currently carry. The Talon grips were very easy to put on and feel great. Can't wait to get out and take it for a spin. I'm usually one that screws up putting screen protectors on so I was pretty satisfied with the results.

I just put a Ghost Edge Connector in my G42..pretty quick and painless. The connector is a nice improvement over the factory.

Lightly sanded the trigger and over travel screw hole on my Dan Wesson PM9 as it was giving my trigger finger a small blister.

Finally bought an adjustable iris for my 513t and installed a shorter front globe.
Cleaned up a M1 to get ready to sell

Since I can't seem to find a scope I like I decided to mount my Hawke scope on my new bull barrel AR. 20160213_144752.jpg

Installed a 1911 spring kit, pretty straight forward and gun feels much tighter now. Got a much better idea of the inner workings of the pistol than I had before!

Finished Action job and my Marlin 1894, excellent now. Just did an action on my 629, world of difference, smooth, 2/8 lb pulls. Trying my 500 tomorrow, see what an action job can do, not alot out there, for info

Went shooting at Granite State Indoor range with some of my new inlaws. They took the safety course and submitted their LTC applications but theyve never gone shooting before, completely hooked now! They even rented a few guns to get a better selection idea. For some reason they didnt like my 31gr H110 .44mag loads...

Is that the Primary Arms 1-6x? If so, how do you like it?
No it isn't, it's a Millett 1-4x but im looking into a PA or Vortex for it and my AR's. It actually pretty nice for what it is, I just wanted to play with Optics for my AK's and picked this up to see if i'll be going forward with a Higher power and More $$ scope, so far It's pretty fun.
This is at 100yds with the 1-4x Millett, 5 shots-->

Went shooting today, bunch of my .45 reloads were great. Was using my new Lone wolf 9mm conversion barrel, which was perfect until my front Trijicon sight fell off. Can never win.

Did a kitchen table AR lower assemble with the kid. Ambi safety ,mag release, houge grip and RRA 2stg. Daughter came up with custom front detent install tool. Message_1456707381999.jpg Message_1456708470602.jpg

All last week, I have been working on an S/42G barreled action Frankenmauser build. Parts have been coming from a variety of sources. Wood has been cleaned with soap, water, simple green, mineral spirits, had a delamination repaired, and then received 4 coats of Tung oil. Metal has been cleaned. Today I fitted the butt plate, cross bolt, 1/2 of the stock take down washer, and the bayonet lug. The bayonet lug took a lot of wood reaming to get the pin to fit, and the H band needed a lot of grinding to fit. Waiting for the stock washer, cleaning rod lug, and the action.

Nice I have a few project model 60s in the works. Refinishing a stock at the moment. If you need any help or some parts. I have a decent collection of odd ball parts.

Thanks for the offer!

- I first sight I thought the M60 was older than it actually is, being a 1995. the stock is great with the original Marlin stickers still on the forehand, but whomever had it let it sit in like a wood room or mud room or something. I cleaned a heck of a lot of fine lint or sawdust-like grime out of the guts (and its not the factory cuttings either) and got the bolt working smoothly. I may need to replace the extractor as it has noticeable rust-scale on the outside, but it just may be OK after I try it out next week. Trigger is OK, but has some flaking of the gold colored coating. Bolt racker has mid-level scaling but no big deal. At least the bore is super clean with no noticeable scars at all.

The barrel is heavy pitted all around the rollmarks so bad they are unreadable; not too deep, but a shame it was left to deteriorate like that. Going forward to the front sight is moderately pitted. Underneath side OK, as is the tube.

My wife has never gotten into the inside of a rifle (she's a revolver girl) so I'm having her do the detail clean as her time and patience permits....
