Last time I was there a few weeks ago they were asking $29.99 for 50 ct 9mm FMJ and $1800 for a Sig 556. Not stellar pricing in my world.
Buy elsewhere then.

I bought My S&W model 410 from them with 2 10rd mags and 75 rounds (50 ball ammo 25 Self defence) for about $380 +/- thats not including the 5 extra 11rd mags I bought the next day for another $100
Overall very nice guys (yes they love there Spay and pray rifles) But hey so do I.
Will definitely be doing buisness with them soon as i'm looking for a good mid level AR15.
I will say i wish they had a website. Shit if they contacted me I would run one for them. For a small fee
Over priced IMO...they had a couple shield 9s for $600
So arent the ones posted here, also does four seasons have them?
fs sells them for 420
Yep, maybe the got it during the rush, also look at the classfied here 30 is going rate
Really, it's not. Gouging prices on 9mm is $20/box. Several stores have it in stock for this price right now.
ZHA has some cool stuff, but their prices are definitely not in line with many other places. I could see a "Mass tax" on the harder to find items, but I don't understand how some of the more common stuff would ever sell.
The stuff on the shelves in that place only last days, people by it, no stupid waiting list to buy a shield or bodyguard, them have'em in stock so lets see should i go to four season and wait 3 months for a shield or paya little extra and have it today
Also the 9mm they have has no problem selling at the going rate
Do they have them in stock???
at the moment I don't think so, but there is a reason they sell out and zero has them on the self because they charge almost 200 more, that's price gouging to me ill wait till fs gets next shipment...that's just me if someone wants to pay it that's there business
You also have to realize FS buys hundreds of the popular S&W's at once ands gets a lower price than any other dealer. So his price should be much cheaper as his cost is much cheaper.
My .02¢
I went there once, when I knew little about guns, ammo ect. Total newb. I had bought my first gun (pps in 9mm) elsewhere and unloaded about 500 rounds of fmj to practice. Once I felt comfortable enough to carry I went to zero hour and asked for "the best" self defense ammo, being naive and trusting them. He handed me two boxes of wolf hollow points and charged me $50 and change. Goes without saying I was taken advantage of and will never go back. I do understand its my fault for not researching and it very well may have just been the one employee I dealt with, but I'm all set with that place.
Also glad I found NES to get some real knowledge.
Very similar if not that, but 2+ years ago per crazy prices. Saw it for $18 at FS months later. Not the best self defense ammo either, ya it will do the job, but I asked for the best, and didn't mind paying for it. I guess his opinion was Wolf makes the highest quality self defense ammunition on the market.
Might have been all they had? Ask them by name "Speer Gold Dot, Remington Golden Sabre, Hornady Critical Defense", etc.
Possibly, I know better now. Sometimes its hard to shake a first impression.
Understandable, we all learn as we go. I ended up testing various ammo types and settled on the ones that performed well for me.
Having said that - did the ammo fed well, expand, retain weight, and chrono well?
If I can play devils advocate for a second here. If I walk into a car dealership and say "I want the best thing you got" and they give me a Ford GT500, but deep down I'm a Chevy ZL1 guy, I'm going to be disappointed. I don't think it was someones fault for not being able to read a clients mind. If the ammo performed well, is it just the brand name that turned you off?
Yeah they will both get you where you want to go, but clearly the Colbalt isn't winning many awards. (No disrespect to any Colbalt drivers.)
I did try it out, gave my buddy one box for his Beretta m9. No negative feedback from him but I think I had a jam with my PPS, which might not have been ammo at fault (I hated that gun lol). I think a more appropriate analogy may be a Ford GT500 and a Chevy Colbalt. Yeah they will both get you where you want to go, but clearly the Colbalt isn't winning many awards. (No disrespect to any Colbalt drivers.)
I love going there for a good chuckle, right next to there $1100 glocks
they got ammo if you don't mind payin double the price
tulammo 9mm $30 a box
