Active Shooter Situation in Lewiston Maine

"Police took Army reservist suspected in Maine killings for evaluation after erratic behavior in July

18:40 , AP

A US Army reservist suspected of killing at least 18 people in Maine had been taken by police for an evaluation after military officials became concerned that he was acting erratically in mid-July, a US official told The Associated Press.

The official said commanders in the Army Reserve’s 3rd Battalion, 304th Infantry Regiment became concerned in mid-July that Robert Card was acting erratically while the unit was training at the US Military Academy at West Point in New York.

The official said military commanders became concerned about Card’s safety and asked for the police to be called. New York state police took Card to the Keller Army Community Hospital at West Point for evaluation, the official said.

The official was not authorized to publicly discuss information about the incident and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity."

The army called and the police took him to a hospital for evaluation. Isnt that a disqualifier for gun ownership? This would show up on a background check wouldnt it ?
Sorry but no way the Army calls police. They handle it themselves. Probably MP took him.

Also, I was a Security police (AF) and we had a guy radio in, he was on duty with an M16, saying he was not feeling safe with his weapon. He was removed from his post, weapons taken and security clearance taken until he had help. All by us, no civilians involved.

Grabbed a Glock 45???

Does he man a Glock 21 in 45 ACP?

OR

A Glock model 45 in 9mm.

I'm pretty sure he meant 45 caliber.
If the bad guy was wearing rifle armor, connecting a 45ACP to his chest would be like throwing a marble. At least with a rifle round there might be spall hitting his neck. Or at the very least the kinetic jolt would stun enough to empty the rest of the mag to more effective spots.

I've said this many times. If / when the next "civil war" breaks out, we don't need AR-15s to take on F-15s and our military. We'll need these types of weapons to take out tyrants or other politicians who break their oath of office, their families, friends, and their enablers in media and big tech.
They’ve already broken their oaths and continue to do so. Act accordingly.

The bottom photo, I wonder how she manipulates that magazine to load it. Projectiles facing up for a quick rotation and insertion seems to be easier. Hmmmm🤔
Israeli buddy of mine said some guys hollow out the mag block area to house a mini 5 round mag and actually carry it chambered with a couple more ready to rock even though it doesn't look like it lol.

Schrodinger's AR-15. Too powerful and deadly in the hands of we the people cause it has assault capabilities and fires high powered rounds that decimate and destroy anything in its path. But also good luck bro with your dinky AR-15s against F-16s, nukes and shit. Lol.

Let's pretend Biden didn't threaten the American people with tyrannical genocide for a second, even going up against guys with M240s you're gonna get smoked with your dinky little AR.

Why would you ever not keep one in the chamber???!!! I’d keep more than one in the chamber if I could!!!
If you don't carry condition 1, don't carry a pistol, carry a revolver. I can't understand why a person wouldn't have one in the pipe. You carry a damn firearm for one thing, to kill someone, make sure it's ready to be used.

Gun Owners’ Action League Statement on the Horrific Events in Maine
Only one word comes to mind regarding the horrific murders in Lewiston, Maine on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 - “Anger”!
Systemic%20failure%20nationwide%20on%20Mental%20Health.png
From all accounts, this was entirely preventable. The families of the victims, and indeed the entire nation, should be furious at the systemic failure that led to this atrocity.

Since the Newtown massacre in 2012, GOAL has adamantly fought to get our government officials, and the general public, to acknowledge the number one common denominator involved in these tragically preventable events – Severe Mental Health Issues.

According to reports, the killer may have been involuntarily committed to a mental health facility and released even after admitting that he wanted to cause serious harm. This automatically made him a prohibited person from possessing a gun. The fact that he was released is simply unconscionable.

Our government officials have wasted more than a decade pushing for more gun control on lawful citizens, when they are fully aware it is the tremendously failed mental health policies and systems. Shame on them. Their lack of professional logical action on severe mental health is costing lives.

Arguing over what type of gun a psychotic killer has access to is insane. The simple matter is someone who has this level of dangerous mental health issues shouldn’t have access to society. They should be getting proper 24-hour care, not just temporarily monitored, and cast out into the public to lose control.

GOAL is calling on federal, state, and local officials to end their crusades against the lawful Second Amendment community and seriously address the matter at hand – severe mental health. DO YOUR JOB!

Perhaps pointing out similarities among criminal acts of violence is a road the left really should not be taking.
Kind of like when they proclaim that "this is the highest/biggest/most violent XXXXXX in history". As though it is some kind of contest that the next moron should be intent on eclipsing? Irresponsibility to a level that is impossible to properly describe.

Call me madcap, but when someone has been hospitalized 2 weeks for mental issues, claims to hear voices, and threatens to shoot up the National Guard site, shouldn't they be locked up in some sort of institution?
nah that makes too much sense. Cant let sense screw things up.
