Recently acquired Stag Model 2. Let the modding begin!
This is basically what I'd like my first build to look like. Few minor changes though.
Would the front and rear sights be removable?

The front sight is integrated into the gas block. The rear sight is removable.

Oh, come on... A Noveske lower and a Knights Armament enhanced trigger guard, and you put a CAA grip on her? You just don't see enough Knights products in the ranges of MA.

Grip on the right is a CAA, and middle hand guard is a diamond head.

So I decided to keep myself busy on my free time, and finish the lower I bought last November. Built it fairly cheap after countless time of searching websites for non panic price parts.
That sir is a whole lot of awesome, and pretty darned close to what I am working on.

This type of upper has always interested me. Looking forward to your thoughts once it is done.
Reality of it is the kx3 is built for really short barrels. No adverse affect to using it, but truly designed for a 10" barrel and smaller.
I like the look, the rail and the kx3 are the same outer diameter. Plus, the kx3 is so long, you can use a 13.7" barrel pinned/welded and be well over 16"s.

That was why I went with a hand guard with an inner diameter > the kx3. It will make my life easier, otherwise I'd probably have the Noveske rail like you. I look forward to seeing the end result Jr.
