I'm Going To Set Up My Own Pre Ban Magazine Pop Up Store Out Of My Trunk At The Local Police Station Internet Trading Zone And Have Posted Hours

4885 alows the use of large capacity magazines at the range or in competition, as long as the magazines are transported to and from in a locked container unloaded.

Noted, thank you.

Which means that the match director is going to have to make a decision. If I show up with 22 round mags, and I'm shooting against someone who doesn't have and can't get more than 10 round mags - I've got a clear competitive advantage.

That will be interesting.

The law says you need permission from the owner of the private property.

They'll just limit any mags to 10 rounds to level the playing field. No need to overthink it. Quick and easy decision. Sucks, but to continue playing in this state and draw new competitors it's really the only option.

I was wondering the same thing. I like to preload all of my range mags, so this makes any of my mags over 10 rounds art work since I'm not going to load them at the range. If someone breaks into my home, I'll prolly defend with a 10 round, the time to load a 20 or 30 round mag might imply that I had time to retreat.

Only if you want them to be artwork. You have a choice here. You can always noncomply, and your post makes it very clear why you should: because this law is f***ing stupid.

I store all my mags loaded. I'm not planning on changing that practice simply because Rep. Day has wagged his finger. That seems silly to me.

How is Reptile going to comply. He will need a bank vault to store all those magazines in a locked container.
I store all my goodies off site at one of my employers secure locations.

That way if I get burglarized, the robbers will only get dirty socks and pizza boxes.

Besides, I think while at home the mags don't have to be locked up.

Just during transport to the range.

If somebody got pinched for unsecure storage of a 30 rounder - that would make a great test case for court to throw out the law.
