MA Gun Grab 2024: H.4885 - Passed legislature, headed to the governor

Looking for a straight answer to a simple question, as I see conflicting info.
Does this new law ban ALL semi auto pistols or only those not on the roster?
Guns like the 365 are on the roster, but take detachable mags.
Detachable mag isn’t a pistol feature unless it’s outside the pistol grip. The big change for pistols is they all need to be on the roster. But the 50oz weight requirement is gone which may open up some avenues.

Straight answer in these laws is futile

Gave a quick read and that entire gun committee bs seems to allow them to dictate what is and what is not allowed on a whim….

When 8-10 years from now
Heck I thought alot of the DB Gov BS was going to be beat in court by now?
I am speaking about emergency injuctive relief - so 6-9 months if they ask for expedited summary judgment.
There isn't really any questionof fact to review and the question of law is blatantly obvious - is a state allowed to remove from commercial sale entire classes of arms?

+interstate = federal.

True fudds DGAF because in all the gun laws past in the past 50 years have not touched their pump action shotgun and revolvers. The last hard bitch I heard from teue FUDDs was the lead shot ban on waterfowl. No of those fudds are even Duck hunting if hunting at all.

Well the Fudds with FID cards will be doing it with pump shotguns now.

A big problem is those under the umbrella are not going to step from under it.
We have a problem is that MA is not a Democracy that they so constantly scream we are in threat of loosing .
Theres 5mil reg voters
Breaks down roughly to 1.5m D , 1/2 mil, R and 3m unenrolled
On a good day maybe 3 mil vote
Back in 2022,it was reported 14% of adults own guns in mass.
So if 500,000 licensed gun owners got on the same page we still could not fight the BS ma lawmakers want to do.
Which is why we have a bill of rights.
Do you ever wonder why they use democracy to describe our system of government instead of the representative Republic that we actually have.

One would hope that they would also grant injunctive relief on the confiscation scheme stealing our property.

Im did they not do that already with the BS back in 2016 ?
What I am saying is NO WHERE is there anything in place for Rapid UnConstitutional actions be it state or federal.
Is it or is it not unconstitutional for a state to make you pay for a right ? Is not fire arms licensing BS ?

He's not talking about the people that the movement says it supports, he's talking about the ones that take advantage of them and will simply move one to the next best cause in order to consolidate power.

My reference to the LGBT flag was a reference to the kind of person who dutifully hangs one on their front door each June. I could have also used a “hate has no home here” sign, a Covid mask, or some sort of global warming bullshit for the same purpose.

Maybe its Time for DEI to come to politics
With even numbers of Ds Rs and Unenrolled.

Sadly I would have to leave my wife and kids to move. My wife will not leave her aging parents or up root the children

Sucks all around ——few more years kids are down with school and I pray theres some place I can go to and afford it.

Other than bearing arms are only choice is a waiting game…

So how and when are the bill of rights going to help when our reps ignore it?
Where is the BOR enforcement agency ?
Out courts well they ignore BOR and Constitution also

I am in a similar boat. My Inlaws need a caretaker and we are the ones you do that. (Primarily) my wife does I support in other things for them like yard, house maintenance.

We have been talking for moving for a while now, however her parents are a roadblock. Her recent answer was if we find a home with a in-law apartment or space for them. 😩

I see that "Mikey" Moore the senator from Millbury, has whored himself to the "Party". Gee wasn't he once the darling of GOAL? F**K YOU MIKEY. I am ashamed to admit that I even worked with you.
I wonder if GOAL will remain silent regarding the former friends who betrayed us.

This is why you can never trust the opposition. "Way back when" GOAL worked out a compromise with the politburo - even to the point when GOAL actually praised the Romney era AW ban as a "good law". As with any gun control compromise, the other side came back for more. The result was not any near as bad for carry as I expected (just look at what NY did to neutralize Bruen), but far worse for ownership/possession. I did not expect to have to either downsize a carry guns mags or buy a smaller gun more optomized for 10 round capacity.

What would this mean if I reverted my sbr back into its pistol configuration?

Sure, sounds nice and eloquently put but the reality is you can't just stand with a decent and normal Gay/Trans person, you get mixed right in with the butch woman that hate everything American and the trans that want to chop your sons dick off

It's the same type of thing with us gun owners. You got Normal gun guys like most of us then you got the extreme faggot shitbag fudds who look at us like weirdos who have PC's and AR's with PMags
extreme faggot shitbag fudds don't scare me as much as the "extreme faggot shitbag Go Time Tactical Idiots .

It sounds like you’d need to comply with the new pistol AWB rules. Pin the brake/flash hider and either remove the hand guard or permanently attach the mag (which then means you don’t have to follow anything if you do the mag). But this is really specific and we haven’t even figured out what the 7/20 vs 8/1 language means so this is anyone’s guess right now.

Even if my P365 is GTG, this might be the end of CC for me. It’s the no carry zones. The locations I work put me right up against the the current restricted areas, These added areas will make it impossible to navigate. I’ve had a sidearm on me every day of the week for the last 10 years. I’ve been called out just one time when my shirt rode up over the grip. The cascading ramifications of someone enforcing the new zones (as slim as that might be) would be catastrophic.

TBF Rob, that was a different GOAL with different leadership and still resting on it's laurels from the 1970s. I know you were here when the internal revolution took place and ALL of those people are gone.

GOAL was pretty effective in the 2013/14 gun control bill battle, but the battleground has changed and GOAL seems to be more geared to litigation now. Hopefully one or more of the national pro 2A (GOA, SAF, FPC) will jump in and help.

Ranting and raving is not going to change anyone's mind. Oh, and Maura is very unlikely to have ever even heard of NES, let alone read anything here. That's a general comment Rob, not aimed at you.

I'm not planning on renewing my GOAL membership, but if they take donations from non members I'll donate.

This right here is a huge problem.

We as gun owners claim to be all "freedom" and shit, but we don't actually support freedom if it's something we're not personally into. And it's worse than that: Most GLBTQ people and their allies see gun owners at a direct threat, because gun owners tend to be hypocrites when it comes to freedom. You don't even have to look hard right here on NES to find lots of really hostile language toward anyone who isn't straight, nevermind those who are trans. *OF COURSE* they see their own existence as more important than gun rights, because in their mind it's a choice between one or the other.

Imagine if we marched for gay rights with them. Imagine if we were vocal for our support for their rights to do what they want with their bodies. Imagine if they didn't associate "gun people" with "people who want to kill them". We'd probably get actual support from the rainbow crowd, rather than ... the opposite.

Before anyone says, "but I have a xxx who is yyy and he/she/they like guns" or "I'm not a bigot" or whatever, keep in mind I'm talking in generalities about large population groups, not individuals.
You fail to see the reason for the anger and criticism of the LGBTQZ morons, they push their agenda on our kids, from birth to death. f*** them.
