MA Gun Grab 2024: H.4885 - Passed legislature, headed to the governor

Looking for a straight answer to a simple question, as I see conflicting info.
Does this new law ban ALL semi auto pistols or only those not on the roster?
Guns like the 365 are on the roster, but take detachable mags.
According to the goal.org review summaries they indicate a semiauto ban. With the new “assault-style firearm” definitions, approval board, and another wacky restricted roster it makes sense to get something you were holding off on before Aug 1.

The 2 volume dealers I posted above from the mailers, one interpreted as “rifles” no longer to be sold, and the other one from Carl lists both SA rifles and shotties.

I am in a similar boat. My Inlaws need a caretaker and we are the ones you do that. (Primarily) my wife does I support in other things for them like yard, house maintenance.

We have been talking for moving for a while now, however her parents are a roadblock. Her recent answer was if we find a home with a in-law apartment or space for them. 😩
My mom and aunts would sell there house and move with us,
My mom says acreage with multiple living quarters. Back in 2006 she found 1500 acres with 3 houses and 2 cabins
Could have sold both places herw paid cash and still had money left.
Here parents would not even talk about it.
They dont want to talk about anything. Its very frustrating. They arw 80 plus years old and we know nothing of their plans .
My mom made it simple
House is in trust , trust is funded to pay taxes , Mortgage and some extra cash for maintenance . As long as any of the 3 can live in the house and take care of them selves they stay. When the all pass control is released to me and I can do what I wish with the property. Theres still a good amount on the mortgage and im doubtful I can carry it so it will most likely go to sale when that day comes. Im not so sure I want to deal with rental , house is old and has not been updated in many years.

O well sorry for the drift

True fudds DGAF because in all the gun laws past in the past 50 years have not touched their pump action shotgun and revolvers. The last hard bitch I heard from teue FUDDs was the lead shot ban on waterfowl. No of those fudds are even Duck hunting if hunting at all.
By the time this law , if it even gets smacked own, it will be too late, a whole generation of tru believers will emerge, our gun shops will be non existent, gun clubs will dwindle and no one will HANG.

Yes - if it isn't on the roster it is banned from commerce.
You could own it
A person can move to Mass with it, register and then privately sell it
Or a dual resident could buy out of state and bring it into the state

But without the frame transfer option the only guns (of any type) available will be roster guns and personally

Right which is what I mean there is nothing in place ro assure a rapid look at possible unconstitutional laws state or federal and it does not mean shit if the courts are against US anyway.

Im did they not do that already with the BS back in 2016 ?
What I am saying is NO WHERE is there anything in place for Rapid UnConstitutional actions be it state or federal.
Is it or is it not unconstitutional for a state to make you pay for a right ? Is not fire arms licensing BS ?
No that's because we had no standing since they stated that the state would not pursue charges on anyone.
No charges = no standing.

I will also add theres hardly ever a R running against anyone
It’s an uphill battle to a block wall. No matter what we think say or do it will never change simple solution is do not comply. I’m new to this game but I’ve spent the past 4 months and lots of paper buying what I want and then some. I feel for people and our children that now won’t be able to partake in an awesome hobby. I’ll continue to fight but a move elsewhere is in my future. It will never change in this state. I’ve called and donated where needed.

This right here is a huge problem.

We as gun owners claim to be all "freedom" and shit, but we don't actually support freedom if it's something we're not personally into. And it's worse than that: Most GLBTQ people and their allies see gun owners at a direct threat, because gun owners tend to be hypocrites when it comes to freedom. You don't even have to look hard right here on NES to find lots of really hostile language toward anyone who isn't straight, nevermind those who are trans. *OF COURSE* they see their own existence as more important than gun rights, because in their mind it's a choice between one or the other.

Imagine if we marched for gay rights with them. Imagine if we were vocal for our support for their rights to do what they want with their bodies. Imagine if they didn't associate "gun people" with "people who want to kill them". We'd probably get actual support from the rainbow crowd, rather than ... the opposite.

Before anyone says, "but I have a xxx who is yyy and he/she/they like guns" or "I'm not a bigot" or whatever, keep in mind I'm talking in generalities about large population groups, not individuals.
First off, my brother is gay, and I have absolutely zero issues with that and will openly support and defend him. I do have an issue with gender pretenders. You can't decide what you identify as when you want and get offended when others live in reality and see you for what you really are biologically. Biology is permanent! I don't believe trans people would help anything as far as voting because the population of them is so incredibly small. The second amendment is a right not to be messed with; it says so in plain text. I look back on history, and the lack of balls in our society today makes me very disappointed, to say the least. Even on here, people asking what they can do to comply and asking the state if you can lube up before taking the government's D is really bothering me. The best advice is DO NOT COMPLY. If you can't stand up for your rights, what can or do you stand for?

What are gay rights..wtf
How about the right of consenting adults to do whatever they want as long as they aren't hurting others? Owning machine guns, doing drugs, gay sex, self mutilation, suicide... Have at it for all I care.

Transitioning kids and letting them do permanent damage to themselves is child abuse, IMO.

Dam this boat must be bigger then I thought I didn’t know someone else was in it with me. Lol.

Keep in mind when arguing with people to not comply, what theyve already complied to in the last 3 years. Once the highway signs say to turn in your guns its over

💉

Are his feelings the same about you owning guns? Does he own guns? If not why no? Guessing you have same upbringing, so should be similar thoughts on 2A.

From "assault-style" - exempt

From the roster rules - nope. No commercial sales until it's on a roster.

OK, thanks. It’s hard to imagine the 10/22 not getting on the roster eventually, but it’s simultaneously not that hard to imagine them rejecting all semiauto long guns.

I still do not agree, I believe the roster is for "OK" and "not OK" semi-auto long guns (22 rimfires exempted), I do not believe the regulations are requiring a roster of all, non-semiautomatic long guns.

You will still be able to get one after 8/1, there will be no requirement that it be on a roster. Not that this is any consolation whatsoever.

Is that exemption codified in the new bill (not law yet)? Is it .22's, or "rimfire"?

What about .17 WSM, like the Jard rifles?
