But the thing is? "What exactly is happening, minute by minute?" It's meaningless. It's verbiage. It'll be changed when it gets reconciled with the House, then it might or might not become better or worse or whatever.

Nobody has those answers you seek tonight. So, truly, just kick back and relax.

But there most assuredly are SOME posters here who really do just care about THEIR STUFF. I have little patience for them.
Ya, but, but, ME.

No, he will not.
Those AWB compliant versions share components that cause them to be a copy or duplicate.
Well I think it’s too soon to tell.

But let’s use JC Arms as an example. Their case got thrown out largely because it was never manufactured as an AW. So it doesn’t meet the criteria for once a AW always an AW (amongst other things).

I do understand your point of view, but just offering a different point of view.

I thought the amendment dealing with towns being able to set their own regulations on carrying was voted down. I don’t know the number of that amendment, does anyone remember the number so I can do some research.

Everyone can see where that's going, right? You can be law abiding, clean and sober, mindful, everything always stored securely, and someone you're living with through no fault of your own can be going through a rough time at work or school or with a partner, and there goes your license.

and your property, and your freedom, and your savings while you fight for your freedom.

That plus, who remember the dates exactly but the transaction reporting process has changed...
But at one point it was just a letter to the FRB about the transfer occuring, an I do believe the letter of the law says that... someone might know more.

1) Letter to FRB with make/model/serial/etc.
2) PDF FA10 or the Above
3) PDF FA10
4) Serialized FA10 from PD or PDF FA10
5) Serialized FA10 or eFA10 or PDF FA10
6) Serialized FA10 or eFA10
7) eFA10 only

I know for a fact some of these have been lost in the mail, or simply not recorded into the system, or encoded wrong, hell I got a letter in the mail to redo a transfer that wasn't even mine to report!

I have a stack of returned FA10s from before the eFA10 became mandatory proving they got the paperwork. Oddly, not all the ones I sent in got returned. I have literally no idea if they processed them or they got lost in the mail.

Health Care Screening

Ms. Moran and Mr. Gomez move that the proposed new text be amended by adding the following section:-

"SECTION XX. To the best of their ability, a health care provider shall ask the following screening questions to a patient during the course of any health care visit:

(a) Is the patient aware of any firearms within their place of residence?

(b) Has the patient felt a desire to harm themselves, or others within the last year?"

They can ask, and you can answer "none of your business", and nobody has broken any rules or laws.
This is the answer I'll be giving if I'm ever asked.

You can request a copy of every FA10 they ever had on you, that way you can see if they got recorded or not. I have several that I have the hard copy of but don't show in the FRB.

Why would I want to do that? My legal responsibility is to report the transaction, not correct their errors or omissions.

I can absolutely see this happening.

Learning as I go, but would that particular model be banned anyways due to the shroud and pistol grip?
Correct
I went back and reread the definition of "copy"
that a weapon shall be considered a copy or duplicate of a weapon identified in subclauses (a) to (i), inclusive, of clause (i)
The features test is in clause (ii) so you are correct that only named AW can have copies or duplicates (which is much narrower than the house bill)

Ya, No

My primary already tried to ask the question years ago. I looked at her and said “if I did own firearms it’s not something I’d talk about here”. She responded “ok then, I have a button for that”

They can ask anything they want…whether I answer is a different matter.

Kids are gone now…have to confirm with Mrs 2020 firearms are off the agenda when speaking with medical professionals

No need for mental gymnastics. How many times have you been at the range and had someone call the cops on you because they think whatever you are shooting is not legal?

I will guess never. So that is the end of that fantasy.
You’re missing the plot big guy. They just indicted a Trooper for accepting a case of bottled water from a guy he CDL tested (who went though a private, mandated seven week class prior to the test). You clearly don’t understand where we are at right now. They will absolutely have CIs join/attend clubs to make examples out of people. These people are diabolical.

Not even close.

Good job, you told her you own firearms and are easily aggravated.

Most people here seem to have a really hard time saying a simple "NO" and moving on.

I hope you guys are never in court, because your lawyers will hate you.

At the time the question was asked I actually did not own any :)

She can infer whatever she likes. Never asked about it again, or seatbelts, or if anyone was beating me at home.

Drinking/Smoking questions are fair game. Guns/seatbelts…next question

If this passes I hope the clubs in Mass take note of what entities enforce these unconstitutional laws and refuse to provide a space for training. I'll gladly pay double my dues at both of the clubs I belong to to help make up for the lost revenue.

I never thought I would seriously be contemplating the cliche saying that "I took an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic and this oath has no expiration date"..... Remember ladies and gents A resistance is formed with whispers.

So amendment #44 was rejected so that leaves us with
622 Nothing in this subsection shall limit the authority of any state, municipality, county or
623 judicial body from adopting policies restricting the possession of firearms, rifles, shotguns or
624 other dangerous weapons in areas under their control.

Take a good look at that and ask yourself what areas are under control of your municipality?
As passed any town would be able to declare itself as a gun free zone and make it illegal to possess or carry ANY weapons whatsoever in public (until SCOTUS takes the case)

I'm disappointed this is the best they got. I'd have thought they'd at least:

1. Make all military surplus firearms assault weapons including bolt actions, etc. Cuz weapons of war.
2. Ban all repeating rifles, anything with more than one barrel including pump shotguns, overunders, etc. because not needed for hunting and the founding fathers only meant muskets.
3. No grandfathering at all, because no one should have "assault weapons" or "weapons of war" except police.
4. No hunting with firearms because people have gotten shot accidentally and if it saves one life we should do it.

Yes, this is a f%ck you to all the FUDDS and folks who've voted for antigun people because they think "I've got mine", "as long as I can still hunt", "as long as I can still shoot skeet", "they won't come for my bolt action" and don't give a crap about anyone else in this state, the younger generation, or anyone else that might move here. I'd like to see you afraid and in the pot with the rest of us. You're no better than the police getting carevouts, you should be ashamed of yourself. What I'd like more than anything? All of the unconstitutional laws passed in MA, the country thrown out and no more passed. In my opinion, if the state was serious about safety, they could start with these couple ideas:

1. Remove LTCs and any other permission to buy, own or carry firearms. Many other states have. I believe there's more good people than bad people in this world. The left always talks a big game about equality yet continues to burden people without means the most and prevent them from protecting themselves.
2. Remove any training requirements, provide free firearms education with livefire for anyone who wants it.

Edit: sorry for the rant, its been on my mind a while

I think it was late 2011 / early 2012 when they stopped taking paper FA10s.

I brought up that point specifically when I spoke with Senator Brownsberger during the video meeting on Sunday, and he assured me the intent was for buildings only, and that appropriate signage would be posted to prevent people carrying from inadvertently breaking the law. I spoke about driving from one town to another and suddenly being out of compliance just driving down the street and he said that was not the intent. So, he was aware of the concern.

Not that my effort made any difference, I see. But I tried.
