What’s the consensus on preban magazines? Still good to carry? If not, then there’s no sense carrying Glocks anymore since the only benefit is the availability of prebans.
I don’t remember magazines being covered in the Senate bill. There was an amendment for them but it was withdrawn if I recall. .

They might just stick with how the House Bill addresses them once the bills are combined.

Well, the sun rises in the east, sets in the west and we all knew that this was going to happen. So what's next.

I will look forward to the wisdom of GOAL and COMM2A as to their thoughts and their suggestions.

I will continue to hope that all firearm owners and 2A supporters in MA come together and become united.

I would hope that all sporting clubs and dealers help spread the word and help with building the resistance.

The radical Leftist Communists (AKA Democrats) of MA are using Taxpayer money against us and will use Taxpayer money to defending their unconstitutional "laws"

We don't have that luxury unfortunately so somehow, someway we need to raise a serious level of cash to fight this.

Deep down I hope that all firearm owners and 2A supporters in MA know what they have to do and know what needs to be done.

Health Care Screening

Ms. Moran and Mr. Gomez move that the proposed new text be amended by adding the following section:-

"SECTION XX. To the best of their ability, a health care provider shall ask the following screening questions to a patient during the course of any health care visit:

(a) Is the patient aware of any firearms within their place of residence?

(b) Has the patient felt a desire to harm themselves, or others within the last year?"

The bill keeps talking about "registration" but from what I understand we have never had registration of guns just registration of the sale (FA10) and they never considered it the same thing.

Everyone can see where that's going, right? You can be law abiding, clean and sober, mindful, everything always stored securely, and someone you're living with through no fault of your own can be going through a rough time at work or school or with a partner, and there goes your license.

In all seriousness, this will take weeks, if not months, to hash out, and then it probably won't become effective immediately. The only reason I'm going to the mill this weekend is to get something I've been coordinating with the FFL for a month or so.
This probably won't take months - The pushis from outside forces and the legislature already has egg on it's face from screwing it up before with petty squabbles.
I would be surprised to see if it takes even a month to hit the governor's desk

Exactly, they already have been working on this for months. This is now going to be fast tracked.

While I will vocally support pro gun stuff and get the word out.

My money....has to be used to move or at least buy a property out of state to get the ball rolling. Its come to that.

Its evident after yesterday that our voice will never be cared about here, and our rights will just continue to get trampled on.

Not that I didn't feel that way before all this.....any hope of not getting punched the dick, was just that and will continue to be that.

The language leaves heaps of gun owners as felons 2016 till now..... Maybe trying to hash out with #11 & 23? Less worried about us - more worried about Litigation down the road.
Understand that is a good thing for us - we don't want grandfathering.
The 9th circuit hearing arguments on Cali's AWB had a justice ask the state during colloquy if the in common use test applied to a particular gun in general or in California in an attempt to get around the test by saying AR's are not in common use since they banned them early enough so the ban is valid.
Here in Mass there are quite likely enough AR platform rifles to easily reach the dicta of Cataeno's 200k proof of common use even if we use the 9th's ridiculous argument.

Attached is the Caetano Per Curiam - Please read this (again) to understand why what Mass is doing can't stand and why I say that the more outrageous their infringement the better it is for us Look at Alito's closing:
If the fundamental right of self-defense does not protect Caetano, then the safety of all Americans is left to the mercy of state authorities who may be more concerned about disarming the people than about keeping them safe.
This bill may be our fuel to remind Alito and Thomas that their work in Caetano was unfinished, as Alito alludes to in his closure.

That’s pretty dumb thing to say. like Glock is the only thing in the pre-ban game.. that’s some level of panting right there. If you’re gonna use it to defend yourself, I wouldn’t be worried too much about the magazines
This bill should make a proper mess out of the renewal process.

. It absolutely does one of the biggest gleaming f***ing errors of actually having to fill out the paperwork and then just pay is the whole reference area. It says reference as required by your police department. Typically they kind of wanted you to do it when you first apply for a license but never after that she submit the form and then they’re gonna inform me that we want references and kick back your paperwork if they really wanna f*** with you, I’ll let you know how it goes.

Except per another ruling under Bruen recently, something was ruled unconstitutional because it wasn't even a "thing" until 1976 - thus not fitting with tradition. I just can't remember what that thing was.

No, he will not.
Those AWB compliant versions share components that cause them to be a copy or duplicate.

But the Ruger PCC is not a named “assault weapon”. The copies and duplicates applies to the names “assault weapons”. Unless there’s an amendment I missed.
