So, another let-down today? Nothing came out of this yet again?
Should start doing a pool on IF anything will come out and when, and if so, positive or negative.

We didn’t expect anything today. The court posts orders on Mondays, not Fridays.
Sort of, but not always.

Often when they decide to hear a case that has a metric Shit ton of nuance, they do announce it at the close of normal business on Friday to allow council a couple extra days to prepare.

How much nuance is in Snope?
They already kicked it back telling the 4th to reconsider in light of NYSRPA.
And the en banc, pretty much said no thanks.
Scotus can almost take the dissent and rubber stamp it.

I absolutely agree, but there might be some procedural nuance or potential deficiency they need to flesh out

Agree - the dissent speaks to the absurdity of the majority decision.
Would love to see them bring in Canjura even though it isn't a firearms case - that would link on the fact that a semiautomatic has no difference in lethality than a bolt or pump action.

Pepper your angus for more disappointment

If Snope doesn't get cert today then I am going to have a beef with SCOTUS.

Perhaps cleaning the decks before looking too eager to take a major 2A case? I think someone mentioned that earlier.
I'm wondering if there's a standoff, where the Supreme Court is waiting for the 9th Circuit to finally issue a decision in Duncan v. Bonta. It's been almost a year since the 9th circuit heard the case en banc for the second time, so I wonder if they are waiting for the Supreme Court.

This is getting comical. Hopefully they release some more orders today. If it gets relisted for conference again, that's gotta be some kind of record - no?
I think Dobbs still has it beat, and it was just as controversial of a case to take

Dobbs was more controversial in its subject matter than (Snope * Ocean State)^3
Every woman and many men in the US had an opinion on Dobbs, for or against, and most held strong opinions.
A small cohort of gun banners care about Snope & Ocean State enough to be actively vocal. A similar number of patriots are similarly involved from the pro side.
