New Acquisitions For April 2010

Not a new firearm, but something much better (at least I think).

Her name is Akina (it means "summer flower" in Japanese). She's a two year old female American Akita I rescued from Dallas, TX and had transported up here. Man does she have energy!

Just showed her pictures to my wife and she's in love.

Picked this up today at ZHA. S&W Model 27-2 .357 Mag. made between 1975 - 1977. The pictures do not do it justice! Someone painted the front sight, but it is still a beauty.

If we are talking raw power (not capacity), do not even try to one-up the .44 Magnum with a puny automatic pistol cartridge. Ain't happening.

Buffalo Bore 300 grain hard cast flat nose:
Muzzle Velocity: 1325 fps
Muzzle Energy: 1189 ft. lbs.

There's something to be said for throwing more lead down range [smile]

9mm Sig 226 [smile]

finally got this out to the range yesterday all I can say is WOW. It's the smoothest, softest shooting pistol I've got. I was able to shoot 2 inch groups from 14 yards without issue. It's by far THE pistol of my collection I'm most accurate with. Certainly worth the price, and now I know why everyone loves their Sigs so much.
