New Acquisitions for February 2010

As far as I can tell, the only real difference between the SLS and ALS, is the addition of the "Sentry" to the SLS system behind the hood. Thanks again.

The ALS is for auto locking system - Its the sls + the auto lock - which is different than the sentry. You can actually have the ALS with Senty - which gives you level 4 retention (cant imagine how that would be to draw from).

According to this site: http://www.copsplus.com/prodnum6247.php they have ALS for an MP45/light.

Thanks for the link. I guess I'm not 100% sure what the Sentry actually is without physically seeing it. And I hear you with regard to the ALS with Sentry, that seems to be getting into the "excessive" territory. Now I'm going to have to talk to my rep about my chances at getting them to make an off-duty holster capable of taking the MP45 with the light still attached. [wink]

My Sig 556 DMR, just picked it up today!

Nice! Whats on it for glass? Range report ASAP

Its a Millett LRS-1 with illuminated reticle. Its a bit on the large side but I'm very impressed with the clarity. Literally with just moonlight I can look through my dirty windows with it at 25x and look at license plates 200yds away without an issue. As long as its consistent and hold zero well I will be very happy with it.

My new CCW piece - Taurus MILLENNIUM PRO PT745 Stainless . I've been carrying a M&P 40c but this gun is smaller, thinner, and feels lighter. Its a 6 + 1 of .45 ACP and recoil feels less than the .40. Also has double strike capability (SA/DA) with a smooth trigger pull. Taurus quality has come a long way. 100 rounds down the pipe so far with no issues. I'm pretty impressed with this little gun.

Wow, thats nice little collection there!

I would not pay the price for the real thing APX L806 but I got this scope Nikko Sterling Compact 4x32 and K-VAR weaver mount for my French MAS 49/56.

The genuine one would cost around $550 if I could even find one!
More pictures to come once I have it mounted.

Wow! Nice pickup! I bet that set you back a few Marks, err I mean Euros!

Not really. He offered me all 11 rifles at a low flat price so I couldn't let this pass.
Now on to cleaning 'em all up.

When I clean a gun for the first time after aquiring it, I usually take my sweet-a$$ time and remove every little spring and pin and really clean the hell out of it. Those 11 old Mauser rifles would keep me busy for a whole weekend! Nice find man!!
