10-8 Performance Sights
My biggest gripe about Glocks are the factory sights. They're typically plastic and fragile. The rear sight is also distracting. So after some research, I decided to pick up a pair of 10-8 Performance Sights for my Glocks. The pictures below are deceiving. They make it seem like the front sights are skinny. That's just a trick of the camera. They're much fuller and fill the rear sight more than they appear. Be warned, file work, finesse, and patience was required for installation.
Glock 17 - .156 width serrated U-notch rear sight with .125 width fiber optic front sight.
Glock 26 - .156 width serrated U-notch rear sight with .125 width tritium front sight.

Haha yup, grabbed a box of .38spl and .357 magnum while I was there. Figure I'll get the motions down with the 38 and then go bananas with the 357.
I paid 145 for the upper including the dust cover and forward assist. I'd say that's probably slightly above pre panic buying but not horrible. American weapon systems in rindge had the buffer tube spring etc.

Some new Magpul furniture for my M&P sport...MOE hand guard, and MOE AVG foregrip, and the MIAD has been on there for a while...

I Exercised today (My right to keep and bear arms I mean)
Another 45 minutes well spent at Zero Hour.
First up is a Daewoo DR200. Gas piston 5.56 without the thumbhole stock (thank god). I have a K1A1 and it is one of my favorite rifles. Unfired.
Next up is a Polytech RPK in 5.56 that uses Galil mags. Good thing I have two pre-ban 50 rounders clipped together to feed this beast.
Of course I went in there looking for a pre-ban AK type in 7.62x39 since that is the only ammo I see available anywhere...but I come out with two more rifles in 5.56. Oh well, it could be worse and I could have walked out empty handed.

Will do! I shot it today, not used to these sights and they need a little adjustment. I'm probably going to scope it anyway. The trigger is fantastic.
Yeah... well this is the 18.5" version, there's no bayo lug. I probably would've bought a 20" had one been available...
Thanks Beaker. I really like my K1A1. One of the nicest shooting rifles I have ever owned, let alone AR types. It is very light weight. The only thing I don't like is the really long safety movement. They make aftermarket bits that make it more like an AR. Can't wait to get some ammo so I can shoot them!

I already have a Choate +1 (though I've heard from some it can be +2) extension along with a new follower and spring on order. Those other parts would have to be pretty cheap (and I'm sure they're not) to get me to order them...
Finally was able to get the rest of what I needed to finish my build.

Finally found what I had been searching high and low for; the new Surefire SFMB-556 muzzle brake. Shame my Noveske SPR barrel is going to get pinned, but I figured I'd get something worthy of it... not that the guys along side me may agree.
