New Acquisitions for July 2009!

Just got this ZEV Tech Fulcrum Trigger for my G17c and Fooped installed it for me last night.

Wow. I think a range report will be in order.

I'm definitely not a technical guy, I don't know if I could give a real decent range report, but I'll give it a shot when I get to shoot it.

I can report on two things: trigger pull and installation.

The whole unit is a drop in. Installation was easy peasy. Couldn't get any easier, I would say. The instructions are horrific and absurdly unspecific. Thankfully, Fooped had done a trigger job on a Glock before so he already knew how to disassemble and reassemble all the components.

Trigger pull went from a stock 6lbs or so to somewhere around 3-4 with no adjustments on the trigger. They recommend shooting it and adjusting it a bit to suit your needs. On comparing the new trigger feel to a stock G17 side by side, the difference is pretty incredible. The ZEV is really REALLY crisp, and breaks clean and light. There is a definite positive stoppage when you pull the trigger, right before it breaks, making a stock Glock trigger feel horribly spongy by comparison.

Without shooting it, so far I am really happy with the feel. Can't wait to get it out to the range.

Uberti 1860 Henry rifle in .45 Colt. Man, this is one fun shooter. I put a couple of hundred rounds through it and it fucntioned smoothly and without incident. It holds 13 rounds and while not a tack driver by any means I was able to hit static clay pigeons at 50 - 60 yards. Another childhood dream fulfilled. The photo is a stock photo.

I love it Goose. We'll make a CAS out of you yet!

I know I put this up in the 1911 forum, but who can get enough of a 1911 [wink]
I waited to get the few accessories I wanted to add so it would be complete in "new acquisitions"
I like my guns subtle, Cylinder & Slide Micarta green\black grips and two CMC 8round mags....that's all it needed.

.45 ACP and 7,5x55 Swiss from M&M's, only box of either. The 3 boxes of .40 S&W are courtesy of Dick's in Plymouth; they had 4 but he would only let me take the 3 of 'em.

Monday they become empty brass for my pre-reloading stash. [devil]

The gun was last month: A vintage Remington 870 police that I picked up in the classifieds. The add-ons were installed this evening.
