I just had to add another toy to the collection that is expensive to feed. Should be fun though. Safety Harbor 50 BMG single shot upper with 22" barrel and steel stock. Lower is a Surplus Ammo & Arms. Just waiting on my lower parts kit from Palmetto State Armory to finish it off.

WHOA, WHOA, WHOA... slow down there. Boylston, Mass? How have I not heard of this? This town isn't big enough to hide a firearms importer.

Armco brought a ton of guns into the country in their day, mostly Chinese AK variants if I remember correctly. Also, if my memory serves me, it kind of went sideways on them and there were some legal issues.......
They brought in fabulous guns though, including the one Hanwei scored.

Out of business since the early 90's. Apparently ran afoul of import laws.

I was at their Boylston retail shop once in the early 90's.
From what I remember about them, they imported a shitload of AK's and other stuff that make libtards throw fits.
They had a huge billboard on Arsenal st. in Watertown showing an M60, with their slogan "We Arm The World", which was a play on words referring to Live Aid.
The police chief in Watertown was livid about that billboard being in "his town". [laugh]
The story I heard was that Armco had a few hundred grand tied up in a shipment from China, which Customs was holding in a bonded warehouse, and refused to release because the Clinton/Brady AWB was about to be implemented.
Somehow they produced paperwork (forged?) for the release, and they got the arms out of the Customs warehouse and quickly sold them off. The feds were not happy and shut down the business and slammed the owners hard.
That was the last I ever heard of them.

A few more just arrived yesterday.

+1

10/22's cannot be beat. You can personalize them to your liking and can shoot the crappiest ammo and not even need a cleaning. That being said, I clean mine every 300 rds just in case. [laugh]

Just finished putting the lower together for the 50 BMG. Here it is complete with Bushnell 3200 Elite scope. I might get a 10 round mag and fill it with lead, just to a little weight. Hope to make it to the range this weekend for a test fire.
