New GLOCKs And H.4885: Backing Up The Truck With My AMEX - Going To The Mill - What GLOCKs Should I Get???!!! (GLOCK FANS ONLY - ALL OTHERS GTFO)

Can someone explain to me how the new law changes things with respect to Glocks.

I assume that the new law will ban possession of post 8/1 Glocks? Not just transfers by dealers?

Can someone reference the part of the law for me. (I've got a pdf of it)

Scary long guns aside, this does nothing as to what you can own for firearms. This limits (and so does existing laws) what you can PURCHASE from a FLL. Nor does it impact (except for the scary long guns) what you can sell FTF. If you have a Glock already, you can keep and enjoy the Glock.

No real change except for the big one - That sales of a Glock frame sans slide allowed us to get around the Consumer Safety laws that prevented Glocks from being sold even though they are technically on the roster. The "frame game" is no more in 80-something days, which means that Glocks will be had only through FTF until this is resolved.

Who has Glocks at the Mill?

I’d consider going to each shop and ask.

I hear you have to wait 5 hours in line before you can ask if it’s in stock or not.

Just don’t go there with a stinky belly button.

After asking $500 for Glock mags, I don’t think you deserve a Glock at a normal price….

As someone who has had unfettered access to Glocks for decades. I can tell you it's nothing to lose your head over.

They used to be unique in how reliable they are. Now they aren't so unique. I've always been a Glock and 1911 bigot.

I've stopped carrying Glocks lately because the 365 shoots so much better than an equivalent 43X .

I've got a couple of 34s for use at the range and HD and that's good.

*****One question***** is there anything that prohibits carrying with a pre-ban high cap?

That is really the benefit of Glocks, plentiful pre-bans. For me that's not important since I'm too much of a wuss to carry any of the double stack guns. I just don't like carrying the weight and bulk.

What is the “normal price” of an item that will soon be banned for eternity?

Normal. Say msrp to $50-100 over

Banned for eternity, ~$1000

Wish this was a joke. But a lot of us remember zero hour charging $1000 to the unwashed masses while we had the frame game. Now that’s over… who knows?

I would assume even the forbidden fruit has an upper ceiling.

So, Massachusetts FFLs charge $100 over MSRP???

That’s robbery!

Can’t they be happy with MSRP since they bought at wholesale???

Ok, so $500 for a G19.

You said for eternity banned a good price is $1,000?

That’s double.

Ok, fine.

On GB people get g19 pre ban used square notch for $250 plus tax plus fees plus shipping all day long.

Pre ban G19’s are going to be eternally banned on one day from now.

But, you are saying that I can’t charge $500 for a brand new pre ban?

Gun Parlor sells happy sticks for $700 and they sold out. The gun shows have happy sticks for $800 and they sold out every time.

But, I’m the bad guy???

I don’t think anyone is complaining at inflated prices one day before the eternal ban. They are just happy to walk away with a new AR.

If I spend $1,000 a month on ammo to feed an AR or take a 3 day AR class - paying double for a rifle that is priceless is worth every penny.

Up until the Eternal Ban law, pre 94’s were going for 4x original cost- $3,000 Even while you can get post ban ARs for $800.

The AWB only lasted for ten years.

The Eternal Ban is forever.

Dealers are charging $10,000 for a SR 25.

If you don’t buy it tomorrow you’ll never own one.

I've got a Gen 2.5 G34 that I bought in 2013 or so. Should have the original 4473 in the binder.
'course I don't know any way to ship that into MA even semi-legally.
You can frame it out and as long as the buyer signs off or recerts before 10/23 = gtg.

No, its "all of them".
Like "Save the whales, collect the entire set".

I picked up a near new 43X MOS from a NES seller for 600. Ideal sized gun for 9mm carry in a 10 round state. Too big for pocket carry in anything short of cargo pants so I got a 43 for that years ago.

Come on man’

G19 Gen 5 MOS is about $625 msrp. Not $500.

You have to be f***ing with us with your reply.

Dude. Up the meds.

Oh! And when shooting at a target, make sure it’s your own.

I mean I was the last guy on the line. You were second to last, yet you shot mine.

Sigh.
