I'm not going to tell you the gun sucks, because it probably doesn't.

But, I can tell you the case sucks.

I've never been into the whole TiN thing, nor do I care for silly holes in the slide.

Yeah the barrel is beveled inward which is pretty sharp looking to the eye, but not sure what that does to improve accuracy.

They feel really nice and the slides are like buttah. But so is a $2500 Staccato and I can't get myself to pull the trigger on that.

Doesn't the Staccato have MIM parts? I don't believe that the Nighthawk has any MIM parts.

It is supposed to reduce friction. I've got no idea about how it wears.

I have a Bob Marvel that is a tad heavy for a 1911 Commander vs a Wilson, Ed Brown and a Volkmann, but man, does it shoot great! If you got it, get it.

I have a 2011 with a TiN coated barrel , no wear marks after 20k + rounds , the hard chrome slide has wear marks as you would expect to see.

So far the naysayers are either cheapskates or high volume competition shooters. If you're neither of those, get the Nighthawk - they're really nice guns.

Not to throw the thread off but what are all the Watchtowers on Gun Broker ? Are they a really special or just a flex ??

I shot one and it performed nice, but nothing special. The fitting sucks, there are obvious gaps between the frame and grip. For the price, the XC is much better because it has a one piece island barrel comp.
