Official 1911 Pic Thread...

DSC02481.jpg

I have the Camfour edition; same as yours. I had the full sized one in the attatched picture (stainless stell, rose wood grips, target sites) and I traded in my full size 1911 for the smaller one. I wish I never did, I am going to get another. I'd like the full size 1911, the Camfour and the even smaller model S&W makes.

S&W Refinished w/ Cerakote

Hello,
This is a Stainless S&W with the billboard (that I never really liked). The problem is the gun is 100% reliable and very accurate. After reading some great reviews about Business End Customs in Tewksbury I decided to get this pistol refinished in Armorer Black. Lou did a perfect job, great service too! I very happy with this pistol now. Test fired it on the way home and it's the same great pistol only with more eye appeal in my opinion.

Here are the latest pics of my Detonics. It's one of the full-size models built using the parts left over from the Georgia operation, with a StreetMaster slide on a 9-11-01 frame. It came with the laser-engraved Detonics wood grips, but the mail man just brought me these new tactical pattern Carbon Creations grips. I'm planning on installing a 10-8 flat trigger, and a sight upgrade is probably in the cards. I've put about 350 rounds through it so far, and I'm finally getting back into the swing of shooting a 1911.

Since I just took some pics for insurance purposes, here is my Remsport stainless commander.
This was my fourth 1911, but the first I built. On to the goodies:
Remsport stainless slide
Remsport stainless frame
Remsport barrel
Ed brown hardcore hammer and sear
Ed brown trigger
Ed brown stainless thumb safety and slide stop
Kimber stainless grip safety
Vz operator grips
Ed brown checkered bobtail MSH
Trijicon night sights

The frame is done with KG gunkote
It's amazing how polished slides get so scummy from carrying.

So far it's fired 2300rds with 3 FTF due to the feed ramp which has been polished.

JGC2006 I picked one of those up two weeks back. Very accurate and fun to shoot. After a 50 round break in I've not have one issue that I would attribute to anything but the crappy mags I bring to the range. Enjoy that pistol.

I took my Trojan 1911 out and dressed it up at Buisness End Customs and Lou gave it a facelift with some cerakote
