Post in the correct forums

Just learn to use the ignore button. Most of the dealers here are the reason we have the great stuff we own and they contribute way more to the community than you may know.

we used to take people like this out back and beat them with a salted up rubber hose.

but you know, climate change and all

Ignoring dealer posts doesn’t solve the problem whatsoever. The point is that the community doesn’t see posts that individuals post. Having me ignore them doesn’t help.

I’ve noticed, for awhile now, that dealers are posting in the wrong classified threads, and they’re completely flooding them and pushing individual sellers listings down.

The point of separating dealer and individual threads is so that individuals and non-FFLs like me have a fair shot at actually selling something. This should not be difficult. If you’re a dealer, post in the dealer thread. Easy.

Sorta wish admins would actually take some time to listen to me when I bring this up.
This is DEFINITELY off topic and not of general interest... Please post in the correct forum

You are in fact incorrect in your assertions. Going green costs us $24/year. A dealer account costs $125/year. I do not get FEWER rights on where and what to post by paying $101 more than you do. Dealers can post in their own private forum which has their name on it. They have full control to edit/delete. Dealers can post in the dealer classified area and have full control to edit/delete their posts. Dealers can post in all the other classified sections and have to ask a moderator to delete their posts like a regular green member.

Dealers are first green and have all those rights. Then Dealers pay extra and have additional posting rights.

If you don't like seeing dealer posts, block the dealers in question. If you don't like how its handled, there is always armslist...

If you post something and it does not sell quickly then
  • you may have not posted a good description or title
  • you may have not posted good pictures
  • you may (and this is most likely) consider your item worth far more than it is worth (I KNOW WHAT I HAVE!!)
Anything I want to move and post at an appropriate price goes out the door within 24-48 hours.

Ma’am, the site has been here with the same rules since 2005 and somehow we all survived the horror of having to go to Page 02, it’s f***ing medieval but we survived. Hike up your skirt, spit in your hands and move out smartly young Jedi.

I just click New Posts or the little lightning bolt and browse that way. Dealers who post a ton of shit at once get blocked. I think I’ve only done that once or twice.

Tl; dr: meh.

The worst offenders in my opinion is MA residents posting about MA gun law related issues in the general forum as if we are supposed to know what the hell they are talking about.

That and GOAL posting in the general forum about MA law related issues.

Everytime someone complains about this:

Also as a guy who used to buy and sell a lot of used guns for my own recreational purposes this problem you speak of actually isn't a problem because people who are actually looking for something we'll find it even if it's been pushed down if you pay just do you really want to only settle selling stuff to low IQ people who give up after the first page? 🤣

You clicked on the MA related thread though and if you didn't click on it.... you wouldn't sub it and you'd never see anything in it. It's like when somebody posts an NFL thread and then somebody bitches about the NFL well all they had to do was just not click on the thread to begin with and then they'd never be thinking about it constantly. But it is like a sandbox to a cat you just want to poop in it. 🤣
