Because once in a while you want to pull a trigger and have to go "ouch" afterwards. Doesn't happen with .223 these days. A rifle in 54 will remind you of the good ole days.

You are right. And the fireball out of an M44 carbine. ha

Although I do have one of these on the rifle I shoot most. It still hurts. But at least the lenth of pull is a bit longer.
