USS Valdez!
Electronics Warfare Tech 2nd Class

As I understand the Valdez is no more, as is the EW rate...again, strange world.

I was also an EW (88-92). USS Conyngham and USS Samuel B. Roberts. I did A & C schools at Corry Station in Pensacola.

A buddy stayed in and is now a Chief. When they did away with the EW rating they combined them with the CTs.

Thanks.

By the time I got there it wasn't much of a base, mostly a flightline, and a couple of buildings surrounded by chain link. Heck it had been downsided so much by then, that the old on-base dependent housing was a 20 min drive OFF base away.........

Thank you for your service. When you get back here let us know, we are in your neck of the woods when you get here.[grin] Let us know if you need anything also.

Thanks, Popeye! Just a couple more months to go and I'll be back.

I'd like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of our older veterans here on this board. You guys made going up in a free country possible for me and millions of others.
