Sporterized 1873 Trapdoor in MA, bound book or not?

Curious.....compared my military load of 70gr 2X powder or Pyrodex which fills the case....a tiny load of 12gr leaves a lot of empty case....no issues with that?

Nada. It’s fluffy stuff and takes up a decent amount of the case. Also ignites super easy.
I’ve shot tons of these loads in all kinds of guns. Never had an issue. They’re accurate too.

Socialists no, seriously I belong to the Cast Bullet Association and participate in Postal Matches. They have handgun, military and open class matches so I will be punching paper with it. Already having a repro Carbine Trapdoor and an "officers" model and two trapdoor original rifle and a Ruger #1 in 45-70 I didn't NEED it but I WANTED it, it is such a neat gun!
