How in the fu*k do I find out which of my guns are already registered?
How in the fu*k do I find out if there are any registered guns in my name I don’t own anymore?

No I read I can’t use a large cap mag for hunting…. I don’t even own a 10 rounder!

Could someone explain this to me?
It doesn’t exist yet, but that’s the beauty confusion

The only good news is that word on the street is that bangers, drug dealers, illegals and criminals in general are shitting their pants over this bill !

Home invasions, muggings, rapes, robberies, murders, car jacking… all gonna come to a screeching halt on 8/1. End of crime in MA for sure.

I feel safer already.

" the legislation requires all firearms, including individual frames and receivers, to be stamped with a serial number. It also includes new penalties for possession, creation and transfer of untraceable guns. "

so how does this impact guns from before 1968 that don't and were required to have serial numbers?

I'd say the legislation gives you the answer to that. And it's not the answer you want.

ETA: I'm happy to be wrong.

The legislation has a exemption, still bs

Is it that hard to understand?

Lets try the IQ = 20 explanation one more time:

- If a rifle is built, you register it. If later you change a part, you didn't lie.

- If a rifle IS NOT built and you make up some BS to sleep better at night, you LIED.

Whatever you want to do is up to you.

Can anyone prove you lied? - probably not.

I don't know how much simpler this explanation can get.

Of course there are plenty of guns that don't look the same after a while; people cut barrels, re-chamber, paint guns, move uppers to different lowers ...

Register?
But @CrackPot says we don’t have registration, so a build would not be FA10…

Looking at the leaked database there are plenty of logs for “registrations” on 7/20.

He apparently made the statement that he was "looking forward to being reunited with his family someday" and that was taken as being a danger to himself.

He was an only child and a devout Catholic, so the concept of an afterlife reunion is pretty normal for him.
Unfortunately, there are shitty clinicians out there. A statement like that is very passive and would warrant a clinician to process with him and determine if he is a risk.

That is not a commitment. It's a common misconception. A commitment involves a judge/board and is a LEGAL process.

the 3 Day (72-hold) is considered a formal request for evaluation at a psych facillity. After 3 days, the hospital can seek a formal commitment (if they want to leave), release the person, or ask them to stay voluntarily (and that is not a commitment, it becomes a voluntary stay).
Correct. Unfortunately, this is MA and the police will use a past section 12 against an applicant even though it not a statutory DQ. The state loves to talk the talk about the stigma of mental illness but doesn’t walk the walk. A medical Dx isn’t a reason to take someone’s rights away.

No offense, but you're a little behind...

Count on it being applied as liberally as possible.

I just read most of the bill on the plane ride home today, and I am unsure if I am confused because the law is so poorly written, or because I consumed 6 scotch and sodas on the flight*

*spoiler, I know the answer, and it's not the 9 dollar plane drinks. Either way, not gonna shid pants, just gonna watch this mess that the state got itself into unfold & keep living life as normal, and of course donate to every .org that files against this abomination of a bill.

Or let me put it this way, this bill was not structured in a way that delivers a bunch of cheap reliable wins for antis.
Mass has had so many of those types of laws and court cases go antis way that they've run out of them and now are going off the rails on moonbeam crazy legisltation that is so off the wall it's impossible to interprit, but makes anyone who so much as thinks about buying a gun a felon.

Tell them to get a blackpowder side-by side! Lolz. Shits going to get real when the Fudds can’t get ammo for their thirdy-thirdy. I’m an avid hunter and have nothing against Fudd guns. I just hate the Fudd mindset.
FUDD: Who needs anything other than a shottie. Oh wait, why is my LGS have a sign on the door that says “Closed Permanently, Moved to NH”.

Whadda you mean I can’t get my new Bennelli I have been saving up for!?

There will be some crazy times not only in gun shops but in the classified section here and on Armslist, a lot of people will be selling/buying in the next couple days. It is like musical chairs, the music stops on 8/1, get what you can while you can and sell what you don't want while you can.

The end is near here.
