The double entry doors provided enough delay that an internal protector could have engaged. That internal protector could be had at a much lower cost as there are likely at least two persons who would be willing at each school that could be trained to engage at low cost.

Money is obviously not the problem, we can just print more of it.

Don't private schools have their hands in public funds?

If police departments can get grants for officer safety equipment and training, private schools should be able to get grants for children's safety.

Yeah every single police station I've ever visited for permitting and fingerprinting, etc. looked like a high tech fortress with vault doors and the reception front desk area in a bulletproof glass room they could easily retreat to and lock down at a second's notice. I went to public school all the way until college and public school security just typically relied on handle-less steel doors that remained locked and one open unsecured access chokepoint at the main office area with a gun free zone at the open door. Shouldn't cost too much to fortify the entrance points like our police stations..

Putting red flag laws aside. This is much more than a red flag... 5 year history, constantly threatening suicide.... In case of a mass shooting where a staff doing that caused the entry breach, charge the staff with murder. Just like in a robbery, the getaway driver gets the same charge as the person popping the shots.

Im not trying to be consistent or uphold the constitution in my belief. I will not celebrate my enemies taking up arms. I couldn't care less about it, I want them crushed so that people can live in peace. The constitution was written by and for moral god fearing people. They are undeserving of its privileges and protections.

You don't need bullet resistant glass. You need something that prevents entry. 3M and probably others make films that can be applied over the existing glass that will hold the broken glass together and make entry much more difficult. Maybe they should bring back the security glass with the mesh in it...

Eventually they will get in, but if it buys you five minutes the cops engage the bad guy outside instead of inside. If nothing else, the bad guy's plan has started to go wrong right from the beginning.

I think at the same time there is also a difference between "people rejecting the church" vs "people rejecting christianity".

IMHO its possible for someone to be christian without being welded to some particular church. not to mention the founders may have had serious issues with "state church-ness" like what may have existed in places like England, but that doesn't mean they rejected christianity wholesale.

Guns were purchased legally. Mother didn't think they should have guns and thought they sold them. Police were never informed. According to Chief presser and he is very credible. Chief also noted that if they had heard about it, they would have tried to take the weapons away (whatever that means).

No? 21h is about involuntary committment and/or adjudication. Most people with actual diagnoses wouldn't need to check that as a Y.

Not every transgender is diagnosable with gender dysphoria. Diagnosis requires "clinically significant distress or impairment," and that's straight outta DSM5. Then there are others who simply don't want to be diagnosed, and thus don't seek out a therapist. Neither would be lying on a 4473.

Granted, had she survived this incident... well, I'd say that would be evidence of significant functional impairment.

How many interpreters will be needed in each classroom alone across the country to repeat word for word 23 weeks of basic law to these f***ing morons to get them to pass.
How will they interact with society with no language skills at all for daily activities. They can’t but it doesn’t matter anymore.

This is the mentality of police administrations in 2023. This they will find money for that and happily show it on the evening news as a great success, while anything even remotely related to tactics or firearms is going to take the hit even more for that money, and that will also be celebrated on the evening news.

Alpha males who normally would show initiative in their training and be self starters are few and far between these days in civil service. Not because they’re a dying breed, but because they're continually becoming more educated now and find better jobs that pay more and allow them to allocate that extra money into their own training and active lifestyles.

You’d have as much taking a bunch of 15 yr Spec4’s for a ruck run or paying for training out of their own pocket because it’s their job. it’s not happening. Human nature man. Very few will take the hard road on purpose anymore.
