Here is the latest picture of my AR.
Disclaimer: The PMAG is a 10rd mag that is limited internally and the bottom plate is pinned so that if you try to get it off you will destroy the mag.

I sent the Sightmark scope back to Midway. It would not zero out. After coming as far left as I could, I was still right of the bulls eye at 200 yards. I tried an aimpoint and an old simmons I had kicking around and those would zero to a laser bore sighter and got over a hundred clicks left and right of that windage zero. Definitely an internal misalignment in the signmark scope. I sent it back and got a Konus M-30 Tactical Rifle Scope, 30mm Tube, 8.5-32x 52mm Side Focus with Illuminated Mil-Dot Reticle. It was $75 more than the Sightmark and I'm hoping I don't have to send it back. I will let you know how it does.

How is the flaming pig? I have considered using the pig myself, but I had heard that it is best used for shorter SBR barrels.

The pig is actually great, most of the stuff I've read on them is the same, use on sbrs for more reliable gas operation, basically I have a 13.7" barrel and the pig is pinned making it 16.1", it's also a carbine length gas system so the pig supposedly helps it out. I'm using an H buffer and realistically the recoil isn't much more than a hot .22. Only downside I can see is it's a little front heavy...but I like it that way.
So far it's run flawlessly for about 2700rds, had one FTF because of a bad follower.

Who assembled your lower? The take down pin is in backwards. It should go from left to right.
I know I just stuck it in that way just to get an idea of what the rifle will look like. I lost the bufffer retainer pin somehow so I'm waiting for that to arrive then I can finish
