Best 300 Blackout SBR?

300blk is super fun.
i do not disagree with fun factor, but, well. i think i got too much fun already and too many fun things.
i know it sounds silly but i simply do not want to stock up on one more powder type and other components for one more caliber.

I don’t have a recommendation, but this seemed relevant.

For those anti-Sig folks, Brownells just released their Gen 3 of the BRN-180. It now has a left side non-reciprocating charging handle, real dust cover, and captive recoil spring.

It seems like a legit option now, and no longer a retro compromise.

Paps, see post #33. LOL.

Why do you have your optic on a riser and the magnifier below it?
Look up unity flip to center.
I've converted 2 of my rifles to this style and it feels much better on my neck and back.
There are Chinese copies on Amazon for a decent price and the quality isn't horrible so far.

Spuhr just launched on for red dots with a t2 mount and a clamp style magnifier.
Not a bolt on like sig, eotech etc
Which I think is a much better design and will eventually buy for my t2 style dots

Wow that’s high.

A couple of pistols that benefitted from last year's AFT SBR arm-brace foolishness amnesty. "Nothing Special" AR up top, JAKL on the bottom. Both meet my expectations (which aren't all that high), 100% reliable and quiet enough with the Wolfman.

As a thought experiment, I put together the following:

Pro2a Tactical -- Patriot with 10.5" barrel. 1/8" barrel, adjustable gas block, upgraded brace and trigger. $915 with promo red dot.
Diligent Defense Enticer S -- $515

All told, under 2 grand including the stamp. Best? Hardly, but from the reviews I've read it'll get the job done.

This one looks interesting to me, and maybe to others on a budget, seems to have decent reviews...

PSA Soviet Arms 300 BLK Krink Triangle Side Folding Pistol
My biggest issue with any ak pattern item is the fact that it's a single caliber build. With an AR you, when not going pistol caliber, you can have a single lower and use several different uppers with it. It's also not easy to replace a barrel in an ak, unlike with an AR.

When I'm looking to get another AR upper, I'll be looking at the BRN180 gen 3 options. Who knows, they might be up to gen 4, or even 10, by that time. ;)

just received mine, .223 in 13.9".
overall looks pretty solid made, exterior is clean, the brake is overclocked off vertical by about 10-15 deg, which is quite annoying for a $1200 upper, and no way to fix that, as it is factory pinned. no biggie, but, annoying.

it arrived oiled, but racking the bolt feel a little bit grindy. i took it apart, wiped, applied proper ar lube, now it seems to be a bit better but i feel it will take some time to break it in.
will see. quite a neat design overall.

ps. it just screams 'i want a can'. pity.

Factory pinned? That’s a shame

they could not otherwise sell 13.9" i guess. the brake is not bad, the design stolen from the larue one. looks very similar, only cuts are slightly different design wise.

not a cheap thing for sure, but, i always wanted one with a folding/removable stock.

If it’s just the upper then they absolutely can sell it without the pin.

difficult to say for sure, but i guess they had some reasons to do that. pity, though. too much hassle now to deal with its removal, so most likely it will stay as is.
cmmg came with a perfectly well aligned brake. a cheap aero i got long ago - also had its brake clocked perfectly. well...
there is always some issue with icing on the cake when you deal with brownells, i guess.
