Best 300 Blackout SBR?

I have a Rattle LT with a Sandman-S and can't say I noticed that much gas in the face. This is compared to a DI 10.5" AR with a RC2 so take that with a grain of salt. As stated above a flow through suppressor would definitely help. I'll grab some video in a week or so.

The new BRN180 gen3 (or mark 3, per Calib) looks promising. At least from the video they just dropped (~3 hours ago). Once I'm in a position to get one of those uppers, I'll be looking to do so. Luckily, they mate to standard AR15 lowers, so you can get JUST the upper (shipped to your door) and build up a full firearm easily.

So I’m daydreaming about getting a 300 Blackout SBR, once my bank account recovers from the move. My goal would be to suppress it and run subsonic. But it isn’t clear to be what would be the best gun for this. SIG has some short MCX models, but while they are piston guns it seems to me that their gas handling is bad. Any video I watch they seem to dump a lot of gas in the shooters face.

A lot of folks seem to like Q, but that is a DI gun and gassy.

Primary Weapons seems to build some piston uppers in 300 Blackout, but I’m not eager to try to build an AR for the first time.

Your thoughts?
Im built a pistol lower from an Anderson, and just bought a palmetto 300 blk upper.

I'll let you know how it works out. Its not an SBR but I did the whole thing for under $400 with 10 mags and a nickel boron bcg.

Yeah, it looks like a big improvement.

Looks similar to my YHM triple port loudener I've got. Out of a shortie, definitely something to bring to the range if you want to make some enemies in the lane next to you.
I don't understand all the hate for brakes/comps from the people setting up next to me at the range. I do try to not set up where there are people close to me. But if someone sets up next to me once I'm already there, that's on them. Anyone with even a bit of knowledge would look at my AR uppers and know they don't want to get too close to me. There can be other reasons too, depending on what was for dinner the night before. ;)

At least the muzzle devices on my AR pistols also include little flash hiding tines at the very end. Maybe that throws the other people off from what comes out of them.

I built a Stag lefty upper with a Ballistic Advantage 8” barrel. It works great with the Saker 7.62 or I can run the Omega 30 on the same mount.

I suspect the OP is not looking to do a budget/skinflint build lol. But maybe I'm wrong
Not knocking Anderson as I 2 ARs with Anderson lowers without any issues

so, they do not sell it yet? it does not show on their web site yet, i think, i do not see it.
neat that they used same design as cmmg with charging handle on the left. it was one of the reasons why i got cmmg to begin with.
They just dropped the video. I couldn’t find it on their website yet either.

Do you still come back to the wayland area? If you want, you can try out my PWS MK109 SBR. I actually love it. Or if you find yourself in southern VT, we can give it a go suppressed.

Notes:
1) Without the suppressor, it wont cycle sub sonics. I have worked with some hand loads, got some to mostly cycle, but wont hold back on last round fired. (i didn't try a lighter buffer or mess with the buffer spring. The registered lower is actually for a MK111 upper that functions perfectly and i don't want to mess with it)
2) PWS was sold a couple years ago. The customer service is not what it used to be. I purchased a UXR, the muzzle device was not centered on the bore (and would have destroyed my suppressor). They have had it for 2 months and have not even looked at it yet.

I haven’t worked with mine yet. How much torque can be applied to the action when changing a muzzle device on the BRN for a suppressor mount. Do they have a system for clamping the action/barrel?

Send a question off to the Brownells tech people. Considering the dropped video had a different muzzle device shown than what's on the site, it can't be all that difficult to change the thing. A receiver rod would probably work very well with the thing. Even if you need to remove the top 'fin' on it (I can on the ones I have).

Pretty sure mine just came off without much effort. Remove the handguard and put in barrel vise. I usually hit it with a propane torch to loosen any rocksett.

i still kinda on the wall about adding 300blk to the stable, 9mm is almost same plus i have a TON of ammo for it.

but ordered .223 in 13.5", as i wanted one to begin with. it really looks like a carbon copy of the cmmg design wise, same bolt construct.

With subs and a suppressor its close to air soft levels. If this is for home defense, that saves time for putting on ear pro as well as not blowing out your family's ear drum.
