Not sure how apt a comparison that is. After all, at the end of those day it was still toilet paper and they're going to need to use it eventually anyway.
True. I was thinking the vultures that overpaid for TP hoping to sell higher were stuck with a loss in the a end. That’s where I was going with it. Oh well, maybe not the best anay.

AND it's already gone all the way to SCOTUS for both encryption (Bernsetein) and design files (Defense Distributed). 1A won both times.

Code == speech

meh mr universe GIF

[reason for edit - improving clarity]

Is that gif from Firefly?

Bro we're beyond emails. The courts are the only way and even then, I have no doubt they'll ream us in the long run.
Indeed, it started way back when over 90% of gun owners in America enjoyed a free 2A ride by never joining and helping any 2A rights organizations as well as supporting a Democrat Party that has wanted to ban all firearms for many years. As much as I hate the Leftists they have been 1000% laser focused and 1000% united in their rabid agendas while too many on the right were hoping to be just left alone.

At the end of the day nobody should be surprised it has come to this.

Welcome to Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua. The MA state line bisects the southern parking lot and part of the internals of the mall itself. If a NH resident gets in a fender-bender outside of Buffalo Wild Wings, and the responding Tyngsboro cop sees a mag on the seat, Mr. NH is going to jail...

Suppose someone who is 60 years old buy's his first gun up in Coos County and hasn't been to Nashua in 8 years. For someone reason he has to be there. Plugs it into his GPS, it's a NH address. He drives to what is presumed a NH address and some drunk cuck from Dracut T-bones him where the red dot is. Dude's gonna have a bad day if a glock mag is sitting out in plain view.

Coos County—my favorite!

Can someone please post the email addresses of all the senators and house representatives? I need to send a mass email out.

There's an xlsx file here:

Everything will be grandfathered. I'm not worried.

And If for some reason it's not, I'll sell my non preban rifle collection and pay cash for a new 2024 zr1 corvette.
I hope nothing is grandfathered and people are forced to make some difficult decisions.

I’m not worried either, and I’m not selling shit 🙂

Everything will be grandfathered in as the Constitution explicitly prohibits Ex Post Facto Laws in this article:

Federal:

State-related:

... and the Supreme Court has already taken stance on this favoring surprise surprise - the Constitution.

Just a data point

They didn't grandfather alcohol and we would still have the ability to sell out of state. To assume they'd have to grandfather, here, is to oversimplify.

How much did they reimburse for bumpstocks? I can’t remember…

Wouldn't that only be relevant if they actually cared what the constitution says?

They dont as they have shown us again and again. But this will be heavily litigated and eventually will be resolved in our favor one way or another.

I am actually a firm believer that if push comes to shove we will win -that- one.

Your bumpstock is worth $100. Your AR is worth 1500 and that is a starting point- there are plenty guns that make 1500 look like chump change. We are talking serious money and determined folks not to lose them. And it is very explicitly defined in the constitution. It can go only one way. It can take time, but will go our way. For once.

I keep reading that there's stuff that would make training or advocacy illegal, or at least open to "you hurt my feelings" lawsuits. But when I read the bill I don't see it.

Section 128D (line 397) has a bunch of scary language, but it appears to only apply if you encourage someone under 18 to break the law.

There's a bunch of stupid definitions for "firearm industry member" and "firearm industry product", and some crap to get around interstate commerce federal stuff (restricting it to "within The commonwealth")

To me it looks like a ton of words that have no application, unless you're a gun dealer trying to sell handguns to 16 year olds.

Like everything else in this bill it'll have zero effect on crime, but it seems more like a nothingburger that doesn't deserve as much outrage as other sections.

What am I missing?

If you’re going to email, do it this morning. Amendments are due by 5pm today before it goes to Senate vote on Thursday (where it’ll pass).
we all understand now that it will pass, as it is MA - but it is very interesting, of what will be done next after it passes...

Oh, that's easy. [thumbsup] The House and Senate will sit down together and combine the very worst aspects of the two bills into one bill... and then Maura will sign it (with an emergency preamble added, of course) to great fanfare and adoration from the Boston leftist media and from the BloomingTurd red shirts. 😵‍💫
