So I'm at the indoor range today and this older husband/wife couple pops in sets up their stuff (the "oshkosh jeans with white reboks" kind). I'm shooting and in between shots I'm hearing "carry on my wayward son, don't you cry no moooorrrre" and I'm like WTF? I peek over and they have a freggin bluetooth speaker on the table! [rofl] It took me a few seconds to process this. They have their earmuffs on!

It just never occurred to me to have music while shooting, especially since my ears are blocked. In my car, music is mandatory, but while I'm shooting I never thought of "yeah yeah! we're rocking! blam blam!". I don't freggin know anymore.

WHAT SAY YOU FAM?

MUSIC AT THE RANGE OR NOT?

week wife GIF

I’m all for having a good time but this is on par with all the entitled people that bring their dogs to the grocery store.

Edit to add - outdoor range with no one in ear shot, sure, rock out but not at an indoor range

A buddy of mine uses earpro with Bluetooth. I can't stand music when I am concentrating (work, shooting, etc.)

To each there own.

f*** people that decide I need to hear their music in a public area.

Ozzy for the win.
Crazy train??

IMO, if you want to listen to tunes at an indoor range, or really anyplace public, use earbuds. Most, if not all, these days will fit under earmuffs.

I've thought about using mine from time to time. I just never bother. Especially when I need to use double ear pro for some of my rifles.

No, if they want music get the ear protection with aux port or Bluetooth. The range isn't a place for tunes in my opinion.. I love listening to music and have tried at the range ( in the aforementioned method) but listening to what is going on while shooting trumped the tunes for me so I just shut it off.

So strange. Not sure it would really bother me, but who even thinks to do that shit?

Edit - I could see someone playing some pop/dance/carribean/country music that would annoy the shit out of me, so on that basis (people might hate your trash music) I’m changing my vote to strongly opposed.

Once a year I shoot USPSA out in PA and one of the guys there does the same thing, BLASTS rock-'n'-roll during the match. I'd prefer to not have music but it doesn't bother me enough to complain. The only time I asked him to turn it off was when we were scoring targets inside the shoot house and couldn't hear the scores being called out over the loud music.

Those types would make me mag dump Puff right next to them. Puff being my 308 Winchester AR10 pistol (12.5" barrel) with compensators/brake on the end. Followed up by my AR15 pistols that also have comps/brakes on them. These are NOT quiet builds. 😁

Anyone remember the 60 minutes guy interviewing an Abraham tank guy ?? I think it was around the Kuwaiti time Any was they had music blasting in the tank ! Let the bodies hit the floor ! Let the bodies hit the floor !!! Those kids and the power at their fingertips !!
