Thanks, figured you can't go wrong with a fine Colt 1911. Thought the price tag was a little high but the 100 years roll mark sold it.

Yes indeed. I got the Operators II Zebra model. I love them. I will def be ordering more stuff from VZ. Very nice grips. They look sweet on that matte stainless too IMHO.

Here is an update of my Springfield 1911 I use for USPSA single stack.
It started life as a standard GI model.
Smith & Alexander grip safety
Colt extended thumb safety
Wilson hammer & sear
Ed Brown trigger
Lou At Buisness End customs did the work/fitting as well as
Action job
rear of slide serrations
lowered & flared ejection port
Coated in Sniper Grey & Armorer Black Cerakote.
David Santori cut the slide for the Novak rear sight
and I Installed the following
VZ operator II grips
Dawson FO front sight
Dawson mainspring housing with Ice magwell
Dawson posi-lock magazine catch and oversize button
Dawson extended ejector (unfortunately it's extended out the rear of the slide as well, oh well![[banghead]](/xen/styles/default/xenforo/smilies.vb/045.gif "Bang Head [banghead]")

Yes. The slide was used as a Guinea pig for some experimental work. Didn't come out like I wanted it to so I fit a new slide among a bunch of other mods.
