What did you do in the reloading room recently?

View attachment 891167made some more 38s , I've always found the Xtreme projectile boxes as a perfect bulk box for the reloads.
Have you tried the MTM mini ammo cans? They come in the 5 pack which is nice but you can get singles for $8 and they come in a few different colors.

I have not , these reloads won't last long as I use them for plinking. I store the manufactured ammo that I buy in ammo cans though.

Is that a 20mm can?

I like the 40mm cans but finding them locally in good condition like that one has been nearly impossible. I've been getting them from a guy online who repaints them.

I couldn't tell you what size it is , I'm not up to speed on the sizes of these cans. The can is like 2.5 times bigger than your standard ammo can.

They had to have had about 50 of those cans in the store , some in better shape than others , none looked horrible. They were $25 a piece which I thought was a good price because the standard size cans they want $20 for them.

Got the day off and with the high temps it’s a good day to make ammo in the basement where it’s cooler and have a dehumidifier going 24/7. 70degrees and 50% humidity.

.357mag made with berry’s 158gr FP thick plate, 14.3gr alliant 2400, CCI magnum primer @ 1.580”

Another 50 using same recipe but with Hornady XTP 158gr and nickel cases.

Pleased that my Dillon xl750 worked perfect after back to back sessions where I snapped the primer return spring and then indexer return spring. View attachment 889957

If you don't already have it, Dillon makes a "spare parts kit". I've used those exact parts from that kit and then Dillon has replaced them under warranty. It's allowed me to keep my press up and running for the couple days it takes to get the replacement part.

Ahhh I see. I bulk load my favorite loads and fill up these cans. Perfect size for range work. Standard cans get a little heavy when loaded up.

I use those MTM cans for storage. 400 rounds of 9mm fits nicely in each, and that's a good number for a match or day at the range. Couple small packets of dessicant, and it can sit on the shelf for months.

No Idea how this got here... if a mod could move it to the Rahimi thread

Back to Rahimi

So Roberts wrote a baby splitting opinion giving the liberals a "win" with a poorly defined, essentially unargued holding.
Given that all of the conservative justices sans Alito gave either an argued concurrence that narrowly bounded the holding or a scathing dissent (Thomas) it looks like it was Roberts and Alito jumping ship to "center" the court in the eyes of the media.

Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Barrett seem to want to hold to Bruen and Heller but join and concur in spite of the clarity of Thomas' dissent simply because Rahimi is a clear definition of a public danger.

The court fails to follow it's own recent precedent and washes off interest balancing in order to punish Rahimi and keep the public image of the court intact.
The stupidity of this is that they simply could have stated that 922(g)(8) is unconstitutional facially because the underlying cause, issuance of a DVRO, lacks the due process and standard of proof required to extinguish an enumerated right, even temporarily, however, the issue is moot as applied to Rahimi since his numerous other violent, criminal actions have met the required burden to permanently restrict his right to keep and bear arms.

I see where 922(g)(8) could be properly held constitutional if, and only if, the underlying trigger of DVROs issuance meets the due process burden of a federal felony and then only for a violation of the order separate from simply keeping or bearing arms.
Do the Mods even come on this thread? They are too busy policing the funny threads to make them less funny.

Just add a sentence to the beginning and end, something like
"i was loading for my favorite caliber, the 40 S&W"

Blah, blah, Rahimi, justices, blah

"so now i am shooting way high and left and have a rainbow flag in my front yard"

Good deal for 2.99 but I’ll give my money to MTM. Made in the USA BABY!!
Think about this......There are probably 10 Americans employed and making money on the transportation, distribution and selling of that $2.99 Harbor Freight ammo can........and Maybe, just maybe 2 Chinese.

You're not going to defeat the Chinese by nickel and diming them on a 20 cent worth, piece of plastic.;) That's being "Penny wise and pound foolish".

Our own government has yards all over the country, filled with multi hundreds of thousands of metal ammo cans that are sitting in the open, rusting away that WE paid for through our tax dollars.....and you're worried about squelching the sales of a plastic Chinese can?
