I don't know the area well. This guy shoots ~100 people in Maine, of all places, and not a single person fires back? I find that to be the weirdest part of this story (so far).
It’s because they lie to us so much we have to question every goddam thing they say. Even stupid shit like this leaves us wondering what the real story is. THEY are the boy who cried wolf.WTF is it with you people and conspiracy theories? Seriously, what the actual f***?

I think that we definitely need to take a closer look at medications with black box warnings. My guess is there's a direct link to mass shootings and mental health drugs which is being covered up, to protect the drug industry, and to keep the agenda focused on guns and white people.
Not really. While political aversions to guns is low in upper new england, the average daily carry rate is atrociously low in this entire region. I'd be shocked if it was anything above a few % of the total # of gun owners, the per capita rate of which is also low compared to the national average. This isn't Texas or Arizona. This guy shoots ~100 people in Maine, of all places, and not a single person fires back? I find that to be the weirdest part of this story (so far).
Apparently Lewiston isn't one of those towns Jason Aldean was singing aboutThis guy shoots ~100 people in Maine, of all places, and not a single person fires back? I find that to be the weirdest part of this story (so far).

Well they heard some guy was standing on the grass at J6 and a mom somewhere questioned a school board member so needless to say their hands were fullReading on another site, the bowling alley had a kids league going on. Shooter was known for mental problems and nothing was done........again. FBI seems to be good at knowing the nutjobs but not doing anything about it. FBI= Fu**ing Bumbling Idiots.
Even the typical group of mainers is going to have a low carry rate, almost inconsequential... all of New England is basically like that. A non LE person stopping a mass shooting in this region would be a powerball level miracle.I don't know the area well.
I have been there a dozen times a year for a few years for work. I got the vibe that your either in a rundown shithole section of the city or hipster central. I imagine not your typical grouping of Mainers.

That’s been a topic since Sandy Hook.
They will focus on the eeeevil AR15 and the "broken bg check system" (that neess to be fixed with more shitty laws that do nothing) not the fact that a looney bin and some doctors basically failed to protect the public. They will use this to justify more red flag laws, not less. 100%.
Maine's 'yellow flag' law could be a model for gun control, but legal experts say it has limitations
A Maine law has been described as a potential national model for keeping guns out of the hands of dangerous or suicidal individuals. But the state's so-called yellow flag law has only been used two dozen times in two years, and prosecutors say the law has both advantages and limitations.www.mainepublic.org

It would help if they locked up the ones they used to 30+ yrs ago before this "medicate and send home" stupidity thing gained popularity. There are millions of these people out there, what are they supposed to do lock them all up?
There used to be state hospitals where the chronically mentally ill would be taken care of and monitored. It has since switched to a “community” based model. This is one of the very few instances where I think the private sector does a terrible job. Privatized mental hospitals care about avoiding liability and making cash, not taking care of the mentally ill. What agency even follows up on something like this?

People use the term “committed” in regard to mental hospitals very loosely. Just look at MA, the old law said you were prohibited if you were ever “confined” to a mental institution. He self reported his mental health issues.
If he was voluntarily admitted to the mental health ward he would not have become prohibited from owning a gun.
If he was involuntarily committed to the mental health he should have been red flagged and had his guns confiscated.
Somebody may have dropped the ball.
News just said he was committed.
Did he even own the AR? It could have been he broke one down at base and snuck it out in a bag and left the security guard on duty a KFC bucket and a bag of THC edibles. They will focus on the eeeevil AR15 and the "broken bg check system" (that neess to be fixed with more shitty laws that do nothing) not the fact that a looney bin and some doctors basically failed to protect the public.
confined = involuntaryPeople use the term “committed” in regard to mental hospitals very loosely. Just look at MA, the old law said you were prohibited if you were ever “confined” to a mental institution.
That’s assuming the media knows what they’re talking about and isn’t sensationalizing. To you and I, the term is a little more clear cut.confined = involuntary
Law definition
A confined person can't leave on their own.
A voluntary admission allows the person to leave when they want.
Almost every medication for mental issues has the warning that they may cause suicidal thoughts. Doing something like this isn’t a big jump from that. Suicide or getting ventilated by the cops is the normal outcome 90% of the time.My guess is there's a direct link to mass shootings and mental health drugs which is being covered up, to protect the drug industry, and to keep the agenda focused on guns and white people.

It's clearly an 8-bit Contra blaster from the original NES.
