The gas piston on this folding stock version, is the same as used on the S I Q R 1. All of what you see in the white is of my own design, it is expected to go to testing early summer. The first prototypes are getting set up for production run now. Action video to follow.

That sorta sounds like a death ray, can you put to me in lay mans terms?
The rifle in the video is the first to be constructed. I say constructed, because I did not buy the components. They were designed in house, and then taken to an aerospace machine facility in Ct for engineering and prototyping. There are many operational improvements, and I will try to cut and paste a list of attributes. Please be paitent, as I find It much eaiser to design weapons than to use this lap top.

It took longer to name it than to build, because I wanted It to really convey what It actually is. (sorry for the delay, I was tryin to open an odt file.Not sure how It became an odt uurrgghh). The weapon Is not just a rifle. It will perform all the functions of all the existing squad weapons to date. It has a 1000 rpm rate of fire, It weighs 1.5 lbs less than the m4, It has 80 fps more velocity@ 8' from a 2" shorter bbl, At 100m the poi is 18' higher. The operating system REduces muzzle climb,and torque twist. There are many other performance gains, but odt is holding my files captive.
Try to jamb test
A couple of eager friends and I, tried to make it jamb. We wrer using the crapiest russu steel cased we could get. The first shooter, is a lefty and o former army dog. He remberd that the service rifle would always malfunction on burst. So thats what he did. The second, is a guy that has never fired a mill rifle, so we just let him go. The third, is me. I was trying to backup the rifle as little as possible, hoping that it would short cycle. This day we were on the 12,000 rnd count, and after no cleaning at all. The purpose of the test, was to have a malfunction in order to have something to improve apon. As you can see in the video, it didn't happen. To production it went!

To production it went!Besides the obvious lack of of a charging handle (probably a side charger) what seperates your design from the old ZM Weapons/Yankee Hill Machine LR300 and the new Para USA TTR?
The zm is not a gas piston rifle, and does not operate as select fire. Its semi olny. It uses an extended gas tube in order to captivate the return spring. A fine piece of hardware, designed for the 3 gun matches. That is just the begining, I hope to have the proto back from the machine shop soon. At thet time, I would entertain the thought of an invite to the range. I would like some other source of wright ups other than mine.

Time to go green and go to one of the NES shoots. I have only been to one so far but it was a GREAT time! I am sure you wont have a problem with finding someone to try it out.
Where and when are these shoots held. the last one I attended, was the great american pumpkin shoot in westfeild. Which was where I first exposed the gas piston .50 Beo. to the public. There was a line that formed behind the line, shortly we started hitting the propane tanks with it. WE went through 1000 rnds with no delay. That round is really soft on the works, but not on the shoulder.
There are several events, not just shoots, that are open to green members which aren't really publicized on the "open" forum - It really is worth while to spend a short amount of $$ to access the members only board (sorry, no jackets) - from shoots to build sessions to Karma - it becomes a network within a network - I'd describe it as your missing 20% of what this board has to offer, possibly more depending on what you put into it. The guys with a few green bars, like myself, have not been around or given back more than we get - the guys with a gozillion green bars and 5K posts generally have given back far more than they received by being a member. This being a "virtual" community it's hard to define tangibly what anyone here "gives" or "receives" by being a member so the feedback mechanisms become the best measure.
Sorry for the rant - drop a $20 and see for yourself - It's worth every last drop, IMO. If you disagree, don't renew.

Thanks for the info, I will explore any avenue that comes about. I am not sure how to go about it, but it sounds like short $ to further my goal. Ammo isn't gettin any cheaper, and has been a major expense in persueing this endevor.

So it shoots forwards and backwards at the same time? You can count me out on the testing...
I think it hits its target and misses it with the same round.
My first build. The stock is 4 position and pinned on the 2nd position, feels great.

nice! what kind of single point sling do you have on the ass-end?
i have a black hawk mount that prevents me from having my stock pinned all the way in, so it's one notch out.

I am also a big fan of OD. Just the thing for Cambridge too! How are you liking the AFG, I really like it. I think the CTR is my fav stock as well. Nice work!

I have an IKICKHIPPIES SLAP plate and I think it is one of the best ones out there if you use HK or Mash hooks, or just straight sling hookup. Very solid, check em out.
