Emergency Preamble to be signed Weds?

I carry an 8rd .45 anyway, but I make the choice. But the choice is still there, whether commies like it or not
I wonder when she will come up with a mag restriction. Meaning the number of mags you can have on your person.

I'm calling it. It's the next move. Can't have you lunatics running around with more than one of those eight round mags. We've all seen how fast you all can reload.

Everythings a loophole that must be closed

Bruen did this. Things were tolerable in Mass until that passed. Then Maura and her soy boy buddies threw a hissy fit, and decided to pay that back.
Bruen did not do this, what did this is arrogant politicians like her and whatever NGO's work with her. Maura wants our gun rights to be taken away, that has been her actions all along, it wasn't going to stay "tolerable" Bruen or not. It's because they think this state belongs to them and them alone and the rest of us are here for the ride, but the thing is: Maura or any of these politicians does not own us.

they think this state belongs to them
as long as executive layers in eastern states can issue executive orders that contradict SCOTUS decisions with 0 issues and complications to them - it will remain as it is.
NJ, NY, MA etc states will continue to enforce their state police to execute specific actions that do contradict SCOTUS, it is here already and it is here to stay, as they figured out too well of how to make it work for them to be able to ruin your life.

You guys are pretty strong with the word "can't"
The point is that you're not going to pay an exorbitant price for a pre-ban if you can't legally carry it. If you're going to carry it anyways, then might as well buy a new mag for $25. All that is to say that pre-ban mags lost their value as soon as this bill was signed but Reptile is incapable of comprehending that. It's the same thing as when he thinks that gen2 Glocks (that are pre-94 and can still be transferred into the state) are somehow increasing in value for no discernible reason.

Can someone break this down for me? I've been following and I've signed the petition. I just don't understand what's going on and what the preamble is.

Short version: The Emergency Preamble just means that the everything in the new law goes into effect 'now' ('now' being the date that the Emergency Preamble is signed). So no October date, no 'delayed until the vote' (which was the goal of the petition), it's effective immediately once signed.

Are we still taking this as third party speculative info through CGW?

Can the Mossad could do the pager thing with dildos?

Bzzzzzzz, bang!
You are thinking Subaru Outbacks and Toyota Priuses.

And yes. I am sure it can be done and will result in a new wave of hilarious “customer states” automotive failures

I never lied to anyone.

My ad for the Noveske lowers has a full disclaimer that nobody ever has been charged for owning a post Healey lower. Except that poor guy who was arrested and I posted the charges which were posted on NES by one of our lawyers.

The ad is still up in the NES archives.

People like myself want to err on the side of caution regarding gun laws and those folks are my customer base.

Same thing with my premium brand new condition Drop Free Fully Metal Lined Square Notch Pre Ban mags. I was the only one who exclusively sold new old stock. My Pre Ban Externally Dated Colt AR15 mags are new in box also. The case was sealed since the 1970's.
You could carry post ban mags and probably never get arrested. But $250 is good insurance while CCW and those mags will last more than a lifetime.

Your disclaimer was put up after we gave you sh*t for months.

At one point you even had the arrest as "proof" that people were getting charged with owning a post-Healey lower, when that was bullsh*t.

So does the law go into effect immediately or just goes into effect on the date intended with no delay if there are enough sigs? I've heard both....

I think if they sign prior to end of the month they open themselves up to more of a mess then they want...color me doubtful they won't just wait a few more weeks so they can point to the date and say something like "while we see the signatures to delay we are implementing as intended" leaves themselves less open to scrutiny.

You were basically getting raped with a 12" dildo until someone said "stop, that is wrong", so now the person is pissed and about to rape you with a 16" dildo. But you are somehow blaming the person that stood up for you.

Great way of thinking. (Sarc)

Called the Governor's Office too. Left a message at the beep. Have no illusions about it having any impact. Just good to let them know there's opposition that's not going away.

I certainly feel heard...

I so wish that this totally predictable outcome did not come to pass. I would like to publicly thank all the people behind the petition for causing the governor to delete 3 weeks of sales as the only logical response to the petition.

The MA constitution (had anyone read it) was very clear that she could do this at anytime and effectively nullify the petition efforts. It also says we have until 30 days AFTER the law goes into effect to submit such a petition. Had you all waited to start this until a little later, you still would have gotten in the petition and your vote, but we would not have forced her to make the law effective before 10/23 to counter your move. Thinking she would not counter the petition...

So thank you. My 3 weeks of inventory also thanks you.

Respectfully, those who read the Constitution saw that the date of which starts the 30-day petition clock, is the date of the signing of the bill (July), and not the effective date of some of its provisions (October).

Section 3. Mode of Petitioning for the Suspension of a Law and a Referendum Thereon. - A petition asking for a referendum on a law, and requesting that the operation of such law be suspended, shall first be signed by ten qualified voters and shall then be filed with the secretary of the commonwealth not later than thirty days after the law that is the subject of the petition has become law.

fear works, but it will not solve much, as per same reason of why schools do not teach boys how to fight properly anymore.
as there is nothing more natural than for 2 dominant males to sort out who is on top through safe honest fight/sparring without hurting each other to death - so it is exactly the thing that gets prohibited now by women, to make sure males are growing up more feminine, more safe and more controllable than ever.

wife and i keep talking about it every time we see it, with millennials it was bad, but it gets worse every year - boys are behaving like girls now in all aspects, and they are not even gay. just, well, look like women, as all they were told, ever, was to behave like a woman.
so, guns do not fit into that culture no way nohow, as it is an ultimate fighting tool, and it is simply not applicable to a mainstream that was always told to snitch and cry as an only solution to all problems.
The problem is that a force continuum turns into a binary choice because kids are indoctrinated into the thought that violence is never the answer and every level of violence is equally bad.
