Restrictions are a thing of the past with the Bruen ruling. Now, you are either qualified and given permission to own, possess, and carry, or you aren't. If you aren't, then you should be calling or hiring one of the more than competent attorneys on this site.

Nothing and nobody will prevent them from dragging their feet for many months if they so desire . . . and some cities/towns do just that!

A friend of mine's 24 year old son just got a LTC in Medford. Based on history, I told him to expect a big runaround,.

It took him 2 weeks to get an appointment.
The appointment was on 11/1.
He got the license on 12/21.

This is a HUUUGGGEEEE improvement.

Does anyone know if there have been any big changes at Medford?

As a gun nut, I consulted this list when I moved to MA a bit over 10 years ago. It's a great resource.

My girl recently went thru the process in Natick, it was more than 45 days but probably less than 60, no hiccups with the process aside from taking time. I renewed mine a couple years back and the new ltc just showed up in the mail one day. I submitted with plenty of time so hadn’t monitored the timeline too closely. Glad that as blue as the town has become, ltc issuance and renewal so far has been ok.

Edit-having just read @drgrant ‘s first post after replying to the thread, I’ll add that no reference letters were required with her app, just name and phone number of two references on the application. I was one of her references and my old man was the other, neither of us received a call.
