Medical Pot Card denial - Bass Pro Shit show

Yep, all 50.

ATF finally figured out a way to trick a ton of patriots into supporting gun control.
Its federal law/ATF regs? Not following what trick was played on patriots?

FFL's are following regs they have to keep their license. Nothing different than selling to any PP, felon, etc.

And it looks like 49 because if your in MO its not a problem, they aren't following it, and Im sure there are more states.

To me it seems like the same issue as I encountered up north, shitty laws, and I just had to move to find less shitty laws.
And realisitically, if you arent at the Gun Counter waiving your MMJ card.....you answer no and get your gun....even in FL
Just not at Ass Pro. So doesn't seem like a huge problem to me, lots of work arounds.

Unlike in MA.....yeah...I'd like that AR with about a dozen 30 round brand new Pmags, and throw in that off list pistol...yup..17 rounders of course...why would I want tens? Hard and fast NO.....

You explained the system well, but let's not pretend its appropriate, fair or legal.

Appropriate? No.
Fair? No.

To quote John Ehrlichman:
"We knew we couldn’t make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders, raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did.”

Legal? I'm a long standing contributor to NORML. But my opinion and your opinion mean jack. I highly doubt that drug law will change under the Trump administration, and the courts have shown no tendency to strike down such laws.

So Ass Pro Shops corporate headquarters in Springfield and any stores in MO should not be following MMJ card DQ stuff....interesting.
The state doesn't issue the Federal Firearms License, and the state of MA, MO isn't going to be the one revoking their FFL for failing to follow federal guidance on "reasonable belief that the person is an illegal user or addict".

FFLs must comply with the stricter of federal, state, local laws. Where they are in conflict, federal supremacy applies (or in the case of New Hampshire, all local laws are moot as of Aug. 6, 2011).

I was somewhat surprised that neither Obama nor Biden managed to move the needle on marijuana, couldn't even push through their proposal to reschedule (from Schedule I to Schedule III).

The entire MJ is bad etc... guns oh my god. is bullshit.. look at all the shit pills created by the pharmaceutical companies but because a government agencies approve the DRUG it's OK. [rofl]
I believe marijuana is, in fact, bad for you, just as alcohol is bad for you. I don’t think it should be illegal, however.

That said, I understand why the FFL would do what they did. And the guy with the MJ card is a moron.

Legal/illegal != good/bad.

According to what I read in my post, they're not supposed to but it is a national chain with "FUDD" written all over it so the mileage may vary. I've been there a few times and being that it is the home of all BPS stores (and maybe the largest), it is very much like a museum in there. I rarely buy anything in there because their firearms and ammo are "rapeish" prices. There are lots of other closer places that have decent prices on firearms and related stuff...though I haven't bought any firearms since I moved here and very little ammo. I bought a crap ton of that (ammo) before I moved here.

I understand also. The ATF would be thrilled to pull an FFL.

When they audited my old LGS there were insane about minor mistakes on the 4473, which resulted in the owners having to go to Boston and kiss the ring.

The needle did move under Obama. Starting in FY2015 and every year since, there's been an appropriations rider which courts have interpreted to disallow spending of Federal Funds on certain federal prosecutions of private individuals or organizations that produce, distribute, or possess marijuana in accordance with state medical marijuana laws But courts have also refused to extend that prohibition beyond criminal prosecutions.

WUT......you moved from MA and didn't buy any free state guns? .....does not compute.....LOL!

I'm against marijuana, mainly because everyone I know who uses is an idiot who tries to convince me it should be legal, and I've been pushed to the anti side. These people are the kind of dumb that make me think "Reefer Madness" was a real documentary and not propaganda. I know everyone on weed isn't an idiot, but everyone that I know smokes is a retard.
I don't see many users anymore, so I'm kind of chilling out on my anti weed stance.
Really, I find the whole thing stupid. You can buy "legally" all over, except here in NH, not that that stops anyone. Even if caught, no one is prosecuted - so what's the point of having it illegal if the law isn't going to be enforced?

That said - know the difference between state and federal. It doesn't matter what your state says, or what BS doctor gave you a card for "prescription" MJ, it's illegal federally. The form you fill out at an FFL is a federal form. If you're so stupid that you don't realize that, and show your card to your Federal Firearm License dealer - then maybe "Reefer Madness" was right after all.

The realitiy still stands though that anyone that answers no to the question and is not retarded enough to show an MMJ card will ger a gun.

And there is no system for the feds to know otherwise to pull an FFL. Even if FedBoi found out about the card, it does not prove that Clerk knew about it.

Like anything else....the heavy users will be the heavy advocates....when it comes to pot most heavy users I know are retards. Most boozebags i know are retards...etc....

Most occasional users are not and some are much more successful than I am, so how am I to hold them in judgement.

Be it booze, pot or any drug.......even food.......I think the biggest problem is when people say they use it for anxiety or some shit...well that's great. Life is full of anxiety...so every time some shit happens your gonna need it? What's your plan to actually deal with life and not use it as a crutch. And I think all these people that start using it as a crutch end up NEEDING it to get thru the day, or using it as and excuse. Instead of facing life head on and dealing with problems.

Yep...everything in moderation.

Isn't there a "Florida Man" thread? [laugh]

LOL Bass Pro did society a favor. Not that I agree with hindrance of 2A rights but if I owned my own shop I'd probably post a sign at the entrance, "Morons with Anger Issues Go Away".
