Its been a good month for me so far. I got my C&R last month so Ive put it to good use so far. I have a few rifles still in shipping and will put them up when they come in, but so far here are my goods for March!
First I got this at Wilmington Gunshow. Enfield N04Mk1
P1010023.jpg

Then this one earlier this week through trade . Mauser 1914, all matching with German Military WW1 Proofs(unfortunately someone chromed it!!!)
P1010048.jpg

Then Today I got this, My favorite gun, probably for the rest of the year! Colt Anaconda 44mag 6". Purchased in Ma right before the ban. 20 rounds through it to date.

I was looking for my first revolver, aiming for either a Ruger GP100 or a S&W 686.

I got this instead from an NES'r, and boy am I glad I did.

28-1.jpg

S&W Model 28-2, a 6 shot .357mag. Easy peasy to shoot with .38, barely a blip on the recoil scale, but throw .357 in there and Mr. Hyde comes out to play.

Picture blatantly stolen from seller (I can take my own later if it's a problem...)

You lucky bastard, I just got the free cash and was going to ask Jim if it was still available. Thats a nice firearm, take good care of it!

Nice wheel gun !

I had to have this one to complete my Kahr 1927-A1.
This is a pic of a sample the seller had up on the auction site; the one
I've received is brand spanking new in box and wrap.
I think I'm now all set with mags for the Tommy; 3 ea 20 and 30 rounders
and the drum, 200 rds of .45 ready to fight zombies in CQB[smile]

Picked this little guy up yesterday. Ruger SP101 chambered in .357 Magnum. I've been wanting a wheel gun for a while, this one should fit the bill nicely. Once I find a decent IWB holster it will be a nice summer carry rig. :)

I picked up my new DOT 44 yesterday. Figured to just use the plastic in advance of the tax refund. Actually wife my suggested it; OK honey, whatever you say (!)[smile]. I took a little risk, the rifle was lightly scrubbed, barrel was dark, but it looked like a sleeper as it came with sight hood, cleaning rod, and a repro sling.

I took some before and after photos and everything in between. Tough to take photos inside, it's cold and raining in SE Mass. The bore came out really well; just some slight residual roughness. You can see the nearly 30 patches used. I started with foaming bore cleaner and then the brass bore brush with CLP, but then I actually put the shaft in my electric drill and slowly moved the brush up and down the length of the barrel while the drill rotated the brush. Worked really slick.

What we essentially have is a presumed Romanian capture and lightly scrubbed DOT44. Century Arms import marked, but well faded - so 80's? The stock, floor plate (WaA214 they missed it, LU subcontract), and both bands (lower stamped, upper speed milled) match with 4160 (ah). The band spring is milled. The hand guard is unmarked, but both the stock and the hand guard are DOT stamped. The bolt is matching itself, 4271k (shroud, safety, bolt, extractor), except the cocking piece, 5976 no WaA, and the firing pin, 8512, WaA26. The firing proof is intact, but the WaA has been partly scrubbed; the eagle is present and 1XX, so 135 or 140, but due to the tiny font, I would guess 140 (FN).

The stock is fine except for a split in front of the trigger, not a load bearing spot. The screws are unmarked, and the capture screws are round. The cleaning rod is rough and has the patch jag. Bayonet lug, trigger, sear are unmarked. The Romanians were lazy - they did not dismount the rifle to scrub it - all the barrel marking are present and the DOT shield. WaA63 proofs are present inside the stock channel, under the barrel, and the final receiver "63" is still visible.

Basically what I have is a nearly complete bolt MM with sling (repro), sight hood (nicely faded), and original cleaning rod. A light cleaning and oiling of the parts, a light coat of cut Tung oil on the stock, and saddle soap on the sling. So how did I do for $275?
