Hi! My father introduced me to this website and I just joined last night. I'm Kristen, from Boston, MA and I just received my LTC on Thursday. I've had an FID for a few years now but I now own a 9mm Ruger. I've heard a lot of great things about this website and just wanted to say hello!
Good morning all. I have come full circle, back to the Northeast. My wife and I retired in March of 2017 and after years of living in California we were ready to get out of the nut house. My wife is originally from Philadelphia and New York City for me. Neither area was appealing and besides our daughter, son in law and grandson live in New Hampshire so it was an easy choice. I love to hunt, fish and shoot hence, found NH a wonderful place for these retirement activities. And of course, the gun laws in NH are a breath of fresh air compared to California. Anyway, I am enjoying this forum and have already learned a great deal. Who says an old dog can't learn a new trick?
Hey Kristen, congrats on getting your LTC. Did you get any restrictions? Good choice on Ruger. They're prob my fav manufacturer right now. I'm usually found at the Dorchester range which is prob closest to you too.Hi! My father introduced me to this website and I just joined last night. Oh man from Commiefornia to Live Free. What a change. Where in NYC? I lived in Brooklyn for a couple years near Prospect park.[FONT="]Good morning all. I have come full circle, back to the Northeast. Hi All - I'm from a very rural town in central Ma and now living in Boston proper. I have experience growing up shooting with my grandfather (civil war - WW2 firearms mostly), and the whole m9, m14, A4, m590 suite from when I was babysitting a reactor in the Navy. I found NES back when I first got my LTC and I was doing a ton of research about it (joke was on me, lived in a green town). Weird fact i didn't know until last election: there are many firearms enthusiasts that live in my little pocket of Boston.
I've been around on a few other forums, ran across this site looking for information on Hartford arms and thought I would check it out. Name is Tom aka fyrfinder, located in the great southwest of Arizona. former fire: firefighter, inspector, investigator first time around, fire inspector, building inspector and code enforcement specialist second twenty. Now, just happily retired (twice) and keeping my mind active. Into firearms in general, but like Fiala's, Hartford's and High Standard pistols .. in that order![]()
Hey Everyone
Names Mike and I am a new to the gun world, and I have my buddy to thank me for that. Back when we were in nursing school, he brought me to the gun range where we shot his AR, and a few handguns at a local range. I have finally gotten around to taking my safety course, and I just booked my meeting with the local LO for February 22(long turn over here in Dartmouth MA from what i hear). Looking forward to learning from everyone!
I got into shooting and concealed carry with my dad as a teen in Tennessee; can’t believe how much we took the free exercise of the 2nd Amendment for granted there!
My wife and I moved to central Mass a few years ago and we’re now expecting our first kid. I look forward to training him to respect and exercise his rights as well.
I’m joining NES to be more active in the shooting community and learn all I can. Found you guys on a random Google search and couldn’t be more grateful for the great input.

Hi. I’m Joe. Been lurking for awhile looking at classifieds but thought I’d start posting. Moved to RI 10 years ago from Ohio. Grew up in farm country where everyone had a gun rack in the back window of their truck. Still getting used to all the laws and the culture here. Love shooting.
